  1. I feel like you should analyze Devon Toews. He is the best defence in the league imo. He doesn’t do the fancy thing he does the right thing

  2. It is only the halfway point of the season. At the end of the day, McDavid is the best player in the NHL.
And to make his team way better around him than anybody else in the league.

  3. Everyone knows Mackinnon is amazing but Kucherov doesn't get the praise he deserves. He's more than an elite player, he's one of the best player in the last 25 years. If it wasn't for injuries and covid he would most likely have seven 100 points seasons in a row. He's on his way to have his 3rd season with over 110 points. Hart Trophy winner, Art Ross winner, Conn Smythe winner and maybe on his way to add another Hart and Art Ross. Back to back 30 points playoffs and 27 points the year after that. Not only an amazing regular season player but an absolute beast in the playoffs. Kucherov is one of the best player i've ever seen.

  4. Most fans are just so fkg dum6 man last year when mcdavid had the by far most points everybody said he’s by far the best player in the world now that his scoring is down a bit and Mackinnon‘s scoring is up so much the discussion has shifted dramatically, even though both players are not playing way different than last year when you watch the whole game. So many fans can do nothing more than compare point totals like a monkey lol

  5. beauty breakdown. Loving the content! It is so hard to pick an MVP, even past Mack and Kuch. McDavid is starting to turn it up, Matthews leads with goals, Crosby seems to be the only player with success on his team. If the pens can make the playoffs, Sid could EASILY be a candidate, much like Hall was when he had his 25 game point streak and beat out MacKinnon in i think 2018.

  6. This channel is fantastic. Dramatically increased my knowledge of the game and changed how I even see the game. Thank you

  7. Really wish this was a much more even look at both players instead of focusing almost entirely on Kucherov, with Mackinnon feeling more like an afterthought. Or just have separate videos focusing on each, instead of just trying to squeeze one or two bits about Mackinnon in right at the end after talking about Kucherov for the entire video.

  8. "We're seeing the best MVP race in a while, which is while I'll spend the entire video only talking about one of them, and make offhand mention that the other player's alright too, but make sure to frame it as a comparison to the other, who I clearly prefer."

  9. Man, your breakdowns just consistently blow my mind. I love the weekly recap but these more focused pieces are special. Better content than I'm seeing on any of the networks by a mile.

  10. Both are very very good. Glad I get to watch this generational talent. So good to be a hockey fan now.

  11. Weird nba analogy: kucherov is jokic, mack is giannis, stylistically. One dissects slowly, the other shoves it down your throat. Difference being, they are equal play makers, which isn't true of the nba stars

  12. What happens when you take both of these guys, make them slightly better at everything else in the game, and put them on the same team?

They go on a 16 game heater.

Everyone fucking knows it too. Replace Kuch with Drai and replace MacKinnon with McDavid and honestly ask yourself if both those teams aren't at least still just as good. Fact is, they're probably better.
