  1. I got to see him at the Brantford – Niagara game last week. Big kid. Scored a beauty, too. 🤞

Obviously just a pipe dream but picturing Pezzeta 2.0 but bigger and meaner. Imagine 2x Xhekaj’s on the ice at the same time, just one short of the Hanson brothers.

Simply based on his stats, it’s underwhelmed for a player in Jr, no?
Many players with much better stats fail to reach NHL.

He’s big and mean but doesn’t have the natural fighter talent of his brother. Still could make one hell of a bottom liner if he keeps developing well.

  5. Florian is at 6’4″ already? He was listed at 6’2″ last summer leading up to the draft.

Ok, that’s my nickname for him now: **Le Gros Flo**. (“Flo” is Quebec slang for “kid” or “youngin”, so it all fits perfectly).

Don’t know if he’ll add another inch before topping out. He’s 19. Sometimes guys can keep growing until 20. Varies. Florian is about 3 months younger than Slafkovsky and I don’t think Slaf grew at all since his draft 16 months ago.

Wonder as well if the move to center was just out of necessity or a legit development path.

Flo’s overall progress curve is encouraging. Going from 0.36 PPG at 18 to 0.86 PPG at 19 is a significant bump up, even if it’s far from 1 PPG floor that top OHL forwards usually get by that age. I think that’s still better than Luke Tuch’s 0.91 PPG at 21 in the NCAA though. And Tuch was a 2nd rounder.

Flo turns 20 in June, so he could pro and play in Laval next year if Habs want it. Gonna have to see how the end of his season + playoffs turn out to gauge his progress. Want to keep him challenged but not out of his depth. On one hand, you want him to keep developing his puck skills, but on the other you also want him to see tougher physical matchups.

Brantford Bulldogs season ticket holder here- love watching him play. Definitely takes after his brother and earlier in the season was in quite a few fights- he’s loosened up a bit in the second half and isn’t in the box as much, but Arber’s influence is clear still.

Probably my favorite player on the team to watch. Still think he needs a bit more experience on the ice before he can join the big kids.

Would be cool if Arber would switch position to be a forward and he played with his brother. That could be the meanest 4th line.
