Bro, your game analysis is second only to Steve Valiquette in my opinion. I think you do an amazing job, but I have to disagree with you on a TON of points from this video. Now I will write a short novel 🙂 One thing I notice with this coach is, when we are down by 3 or more goals, our 3rd and 4th lines get ZERO ice time. I think this is done so our 3rd and 4th line guys don't develop bad habits by trying to be offensive heros. In this game, our top 2 lines SUCKED out loud but they were kept on the ice while everyone else got no minutes. The Cuylle/Brodz/Wheeler line is a work in progress that I am EXTREMELY happy to see materalize because even if Brodz can't handle the load we will be plugging Chytil into that line soon (think about the possibilities). I personally don't think Chytil will be back and honestly believe Brodz can produce if Phil has to retire. And if Brodz can't do it, all we need to do is grab a 3rd line center in a trade. Nick Bonino is CRUCIAL to this team, I cannot emphasize that enough…he will be our 4th line center come playoff time…he is irreplaceable. K'Andre…let's talk about Key. Never underestimate him. I remember his first game as a Ranger and he was not good at all and ever since then he has played at an NHL level…even though he was relatively new at being a D-Man. He is being coached to become a more offensive D-Man and he is hitting some bumps. Don't underestimate him…don't forget who his D coach is. On to Shesty. Igor is from Russia and is of an age where it is possible many people he knows, or knows of, are dying in a senseless war. He is in a strange country and is definitely losing focus…but when playoffs come he has proven he can carry a team regardless of the outside stuff. Adam Fox will be Fox again…no worries. This team is DEEP and our coaching staff is UNREAL good. We have cap space if we need to upgrade. LGR!!!
As an addendum to my excessively long previous post, I have to say…This is the best coaching staff The New York Rangers have EVER had (damn I wish we still had Lindy Ruff). I see what this staff is doing and they are spot on. Be ready for a LONG playoff run. The only team I am worried about in a 7 game series is Las Vegas, they are by far the best team in the league right now.
