Ducks still have a stacked defensive core for the future with guys like Mintyukov and Zellweger. Losing Drysdale isn't that huge for them. Gauthier will probably fill in pretty nicely in their top 6.
The Flyers get a second and Drysdale I don't hate this for either team I do question it for the ducks but we shall see.

As a Flyers fan I hate this trade!! Drysdale is always hurt and Gauthier was supposed to be the forward of our future! Now who’s our forward of the future? I can’t wait to see Drysdale on our injured list!
What amazes me is he won’t play for a historic franchise like Philly yet he’s fine in ANAHIEM??? 1. Who does he think he is? 2. What’s appealing abt anahiem to him??
This news initially rattled me as a Flyers fan, but once news broke that Gauthier wouldn’t play for the Flyers, it was nice to get a really good young player in Drysdale. I can’t be upset that a kid who looks up to Kevin Hayes is unwilling to play for the team I root for.
We can visit this trade after 5 year and see who was winner, but for now. Its good to get something back on player who not want to play in your team. I think Gauthier was/is big PIT fan, so he didnt want to play in Flyers. Drysdale has huge potential, hopefully he can stay healthy. 2round pic was nice bonus for Flyers.
