IMO he is dogging it so he can leave Ducks. those guys really suck.
That trade isn’t a fair deal Montreal gets rid of what they don’t want and they get the best player . And then Montreal weaponize the cap after to get whatever they want. Meanwhile the ducks get a bloated contract and no proven guys so basically they get a first . What’s it like one in ever five first round picks work out.
Not gonna lie, this is a fair trade! Theirs two great Prospects and a first with high value, with a B/C tuer type player go to anhiem and Montreal get that superstar type player with Cole! Yes their can be risk but this is the type of move I feel works both sides

Its a fair trade i think they would take it cuz they lost drysdale on defence so baron gives that defensive future they lost when they traded drysdale. also for the habs zegras is cole's caufield's best friend and he trains with him during the summer so he could connect with caufield and the off ice training they do could also include connection plays and training that could bleed into the habs lineup. Idk if this is close to the same but I used to play and when I played with my best friend it was so easy to connect plays and it would work and fly off the stick didn't need to think just do and if that's how zegras and cole could be we would be nuts.

I don't know the player that much but one comment I heard scares me about zegras… when he doesn't score he's of no use… that doesn't fit with the habs narrative at all….
If I am MTL I say no to that trade.
It's kind of funny, but I think both teams reject this for different reasons, first of all Anderson is a hard contract to move, plus I think that is a bad fit for the Ducks, I think Mtl rejects because the ask is waaaayyyyy too high. Roy is too much an unknown quantity, he keeps smashing through the ceiling at whatever level he is at. Plus throwing a first in makes it go over the top. I think with all the prospects + picks going to ducks have a lot more chances to hit on this deal. The risk is on Mtl, therefore I think on that regard it is not fair.
