Gudas is a barbarian. Dude, lays bonecrushing hits! Would love to see him added to NJ. I think the McLeod rumor is just smoke. I don't see Fitz including him in a trade.

I love McLeod as well. Would hate to see him go. I think you are right and it certainly looks like Anaheim is looking for a King's ransom for Gibson because I believe Fitz has been pretty desperate and aware Vanecek sucks and they need a change. With that being said, it must be a very crazy ask because any reasonable offer would have been accepted already. I hate to say it but maybe this is a throw away season. Let Luke, Nemec, Bahl and Holtz continue to get more seasoned and try our luck in FA or trade during the off season. This is going to sound crazy but hear me out! Carter Hart is going to be a RFA next year. Making under 4 million currently. A 4.2-6.4M offer sheet compensation would be a 1st and 3 rd pick. A 6.4-8.5M would be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Hart is 25 and EXACTLY what we would need to be contenders for most of our core groups prime years. I know its a very long shot but that is definitely something I would be all in for. Even possibly trading McLeod, Casey and a 1st. Hart would definitely fix a lot of our problems immediately. Plus hey it would screw with the Flyers!

I don’t think we trade Mike, but if we were to trade him… the only acceptable option would be for Saros in my opinion.
McLeod has had over 50 point seasons since 2020, and last season closed the casket on our New York friends. Not only is he skilled, but I think he made himself a spot in the club's culture, within the team and among fans, and trading him would affect everyone in some way, even though like you said it is part of the game. Unless we're getting a deal on a bona fide goaltender AND some rugged Gudas defense (which probably won't happen at this point), I'm not going to say it's impossible, but I'm VERY hesitant to hand over McLeod.
Love how on this video about Michael McLeod, we're still taking hella digs at Vitek. Shows how much we're screwing ourselves by continuing to field him. Seeing Daws get the next few starts, with no V starts at all, to see where he's at would really help my clarity on how much we should be willing to part with to potentially save this season.

Wouldnt trade him…i would trade holtz and maybe a depth piece for askarov from Nashville…i think askarov is going to be elite and cheaper in the long run
Mike is IMO the best all around player on the team. I think they're crazy if they get rid of him. It would be sad to see my favorite player go.
James is a reliable source for information and doesn't post garbage for the clicks. He didn't do anything really wrong here and that's not his fault that SOME NJD fans tend to choose hysteria 😮 Everyone should start to consider that someone valuable may be leaving even if we hate that possibility 😢
Njhn is a clown site. That said, anyone saying "cant trade mikey, ever" has clouded judgement. If we could get a physical D and a tendy, id miss mikey but that would be an excellent roi. Ppl forget about the whole 2018 incident that could result in a suspension and the fact that we probably wont be able to afford him next year. Id love to keep him but year man, if it makes sense, im all in.would love to dust off the #14 jersey… uncle rico family reunion!!!
As someone who’s in the ducks/kings region and watched the Ducks v. Oilers game a few nights ago. Idk how the McLeod s trained this summer but both are killing it.
The only reason I can see Mcleod goes as I said few episodes ago is because of cap space. There might be negotiations going on with him and his agent and it does not look promising. But yet again this is the result of the Meier signing. Fitzerald in his "glory". All this shit with goaltending, now Mcleod trade talk is of Fitzerald's doing. Fucking moron! Also this goaltending problems are blurring your and everyones vision. Gibson, Gudas are on the long term huge contracts. Gudas is what the team need but where are you gonna get the cap space to keep them beyond this season? It is only possible if Vanecek and Marino traded. And given their play this season it isnt happening! In Fitz you trust. Keep on going!

I like your Shows so have patience with this. I’m not sure if you played but you NEED to slow down the opinions on Vitek. He is a perfect backup or 1B and any team can win it all with just a competent second goalie. Yes the rebounds are annoying as hell but this teams issue is defense. Please really look deeper at this when your attacking V. Just a thought. Plan has always been for dawes and schmid to grow into the duo so I hope they don’t do anything to chase a goalie

When I first heard about Mikeys name and then read the article, to me it read as if hes drawing major interest from other teams for several reasons, most notably his 1.4m cap hit on an expiring contract, so for what hes providing this year, at that price hes one of the best contracts in the NHL by a long shot, which is a bit similar to Coleman the year we traded him to Tampa. I dont see us trading him though. If you subtracted Mikey for goaltending then cool, but we'd be significantly softer, & Mikey is arguably our fastest player. Id rather get Gudbranson from CBJ over Gudas, hes nasty as they come and still very mobile with high IQ as he was a 3rd overal pick. Gibson is suspect for me. I think NJ could really revitalize him mentally, but, with his injury history and our teams luck with injuries I cant help but seeing him get injured at the worst times for us. I truly think Marty is scouring the goalie market for someone to come in and steady the storm for this year, & make a big move in the summer as opposed to mid-season. The cap increase will help with that too. Budget goalies ive heard mentioned for us have been Jake Allen (who Marty knows very well), Elvis Merzlikins (he & Schmido have the same goalie coach for summer training), & Jacob Markstrom. CBJ has a goalie and dman id trade for, as does CGY, as do the ducks, but, again Im not sure Gibson is the guy. Mikey is Zajac 2.0….cant trade the kid
