  1. very interesting @25,45 anyways a good lawyer i beleive is 500hr also " lol i dont think either of you could afford me" good job in getting a free interview outta him by the sounds of it gillis sacrificed 1/2 hour Them lawyers feeling all the schooling they have done as soon as they open there mouth one way or another money must come there way Bow musta studied law in sayin "i tell ya that for free "

  2. Our best GM ever. Kind of sad how things ended here, it wasnt deserved. Hope he comes back to the league

  3. Completely agree on retiring his number, as one of the best goalies of his time and better than any of the three goalies they put into the Hall this year. If you were only going to hang just two Canucks jerseys on merit, it would be Luongo and Linden.

  4. Mike Gillis' interviews are always so insightful! I've always been a huge fan of his. It's too bad that the Canucks didn't find an ideal replacement when he was let go from the GM position.

  5. Wish we lived in a world where local media and hockey executives could have this sort of conversation when they were still active.

  6. Where the Canucks missed the boat is a dual McLean-Luongo retirement of #1. That would have made so much sense in my opinion.

  7. Gillis was handcuffed with the goaltending drama. The Sedins were aging and draft lotteries didn’t pan out. Victim of bad luck.

  8. MG hired Tortorella. He should have been asked before hiring. What is your plan for Sedins. The loon would have said I want to turn them into brawlers and goons and MG should have said send in the next interview. Gillis did not get another GM job. Better than the loon Grizzlies had as a first GM. Who has yet to get another GM job in the NBA and never will.
