Basically half the team was new this year, takes more than 2 weeks training camp to bond,gel ,and click…im positive we will make the playoffs, and make a good run this year! Even Boston is coming down to earth finially. With the start we had, and the way we are playing now. That's our Red Wings! We've found out consistency!! Stevie will add again at the deadline!
Im an optimist but it really does feel like a playoff year, even before the Kane addition.
A team minus Larkin against New York Rangers is going to be a huge test.

This is kinda like your Tarasenko signing. One year deal for a guy that is out of his prime, but is a veteran presence and still can put up good numbers. Good deal for the Wings

Cautiously optomistic about the possibility of adding someone who doesn't play defense when our goaltenting and team defense are pretty weak. Does he fit in with the defense first system? I think there is potential, and it is a signal to free agents that Detroit is a good destination again, but it may be tough to put a future Hall of Famer on LTIR if he doesn't work out. It would make Stevie Y look bad.
