So weird as an old fuddy duddy Wings fan & remembering the angst many felt as Yzerman stumbled slightly at the onset of his professional playing career with a physical challenge that caused him to enter that hypobolic chamber gizmo thingie; (I believe that was the technical term for it)…so perhaps, too, that may have played a miniscule part in the signing. As far as Mr. Y, from then to now, a legend in hockey, & now a proven GM.
