Not a big fan of Dean…BUT..this team givin him..with no wiggle room…ITS ON THE GM.
It has to be Dean. Guerin has restructured the organization and built it to be in a much better spot than the Fletcher years. The team currently on the ice may not be producing right now but there’s so much to be positive about in the prospect pool, the usage of Iowa, the scouts and staff in the player development team, etc. I can’t imagine this conversation wasn’t had with Leipold when he agreed to the buyouts that the Wild may struggle during these years, he’s a competent businessman. The fact that near everyone aside from Maroon, Faber, and Rossi are struggling right now after playing very well the past two years seems like a coaching issue.
The coach isn't the cause of this bunch of chokers going almost 22 minutes without a Shot On Goal!!! Every game looks like a replay of the previous! Can't get across the blue line into offense zone and the dump and retreat is what inevitably happens 90% of the time. Not even a one and done. I would like to see who judges what is a hit because the Mild sure are not a physical team, which makes their lack of speed and creativity more and more easy stepped around!With that being said the overall truth is Dean is out of his depth.. It cannot be more obvious that he has no answers!!!
They should have left Goal-O-Cough-Sky on LTIR, Stump Merrill in the press box and kept Mermis up on the roster! Bogosian has been a minus thus far and that is being kind to say. He gets burned more than bread in a broken toaster. Often way out of position when goal is scored from where he was supposed to be! This team has just manifested too many bad habits and poor skills exercising that they look incompetent for 20-40 minutes of a game!
So it is definitely time to have a wholesale change in coaches. But Billy G will not pull the trigger because Dean is his guy!
