  1. Vancouver is now in the market for a right shot defenceman. If Deharnais isn't going to work out with the Oilers, the Canucks might take him for a mid round pick.

  2. Why would Nashville trade Saros? Who would ever take Nurse? Ah, sorry, this is a fantasy channel, I missed that. Maybe throw James Neal in the deal as well.

  3. These aren't really rumours. It's just media guys talking out loud about pipe dreams that aren't gonna come true. Saros at this moment would be a huge mistake. We'd be selling low and buying high. It's bad GMing. It's sad but true, that the Pickard/Campbell move is actually the best and most logical step in a series of potential events that must occur before we get anywhere close to the reality of a blockbuster trade.

  4. Number one issue. Goalie coach is purposely destroying goalies careers. Goalies come in with superior fundamentals and the goalie coach sets out to ruin their life. Goalies should stay away from Edmonton because of this.

  5. We need a goalie that will tell the dog 💩 goalie coach to shut up. And the goalie has to be able to play two defence positions at the same time as net.

  6. Nsh:Campbell, 2024 1st, broberg, Vinny
    Edm: saros (retained), fabbro

  7. As a Finn and a huge fan of Saros I'm terrified of what this could do to his career. A chance to become a hero – sure – but a huge risk more than anything.

  8. if I was a goaltender I wouldn't want to come to Edmonton because I would just get lit up. Watch the highlights of Oiler games and you see the entire team just coasting and watching the play happen when it comes to defence. No goalie will do will with that kind of support.

  9. What exactly is Edmonton willing to give up? And more importantly, why would Nashville give up their number 1 goalie unless they get a real haul of draft picks and players and have decided to do a complete rebuild. Edmonton does not have alot to offer up in players that won't effect their ability to win the Cup, so it's draft picks. And unless Nashville decides they are willing to strip down to the studs and start over, I can't see them trading their #1. Plus, they will still have the same horrible defense.

  10. Saros seems to be an Oiler killer every time we play him. Would love to see him in an oiler jersey… sadly our issue is MUCH worse than just a goalie fix.

The D core is completely horrible… we’re paying elite calibre $$’s but performance is AA at best.

Bottom 6 forwards are non existent. The locker room is broken… McD and Drai are giving up and getting ready to move on…

I hate to love this team.

  11. Where’s the fan outrage?? A team so skilled yet so completely unprepared to play an NHL season should cause outrage. Not tension & hope they beat the Sharks so they can pretend things are getting better. If Oilers win 10-0 tonight it means nothing. Have you seen the Sharks play?? Probably the least skilled team in NHL history. And Oilers fans are acting like it’s a playoff game. The only way this game might mean something is if the Oilers lose. Then maybe some changes will be made. Try booing the Oilers the entire game. Outrage worked for Vancouver fans last year didn’t it!
