  1. that Ken Holland dig 😀

But in reality, whatever price Hughes was willing to accept definitely got higher after this game. I know we could get a nice haul for Monty, but I'm not sure I'm ready to let him go 😢

  2. Marty made the bold claim that better forechecking would be all they needed right now! He was right, even if there are many things this young team needs to work on. The effort and hunger was there!

  3. Nice win buuuuuuuuuut.. under 8min of ice time for Ylonen again despite the early sauce and Josh still on 1st PP. I'm not saying Ylonen is a superstar or anything buuuuuut…

  4. Just casually over look the fact that the only reason they won was due to their goaltending

  5. You noticed Caufield hugging Newhook. I did too. He’s becoming a big part of that team even if the goals aren’t right now

  6. The attempted murder on Pezz was some scary shit, so many uncalled play passed the mid game point (lots of boarding and the obvious too many man to point a few), could of easily been a massacre in favor of Montreal, but refs gotta manage the games as always.

Very happy with the regular time win, gotta start doing more of those within our division.

  7. Let's be honest, Montembeault stole the game. Habs gave up far too many 5 star goal scoring opportunities to Anaheim.

  8. I don't believe the Oilers have a goaltending issue, it's scoring. They were 1st in the league last year, and this year, 28th.

  9. The whole team played a great game. I think Cole has to be put back with Zuke. He isn't getting the puck put in the proper place for his one timer. ( Go Habs GO)

  10. liked the fight. however, it was clear that marty told the boys to protect that 3-2 lead going into the third with that hideous dump and chase tactic… no to hate because we won but i would have liked to see more fighting spirit to just dominate the game and bash the ducks.

  11. I blame St Louis for their record.
Who in their right mind slots the worst player on the team 1st line and PP unit because one day he'll be good.
    Pure horshiut…

  12. Same old trend with our Habs our back end has to score 1-2 goals a game for us to have a chance.

  13. Gotta give props to Marty for the Newhook – Suzuki – Gallagher line. I don’t think there is one fan that thought that that would be a good idea, but it worked out well in this game!

  14. @hockeyjunkie what are your thoughts on caufield and slaf; arguably are two highest ceiling wingers, playing on the third line with dvorak in in between?🫠

  15. Habs go 2-2 on this trip, they beat the Sharks in a game closer than it needs to be and lose to the Kings and finish up with a lazy, soft effort against the BJ's. Why because they're a a below the Mendoza line team. At least for this year.

  16. Graat win!!! I watched the game and what was PAINFULLY OBVIOUS was how invisible Skafkovsy was. Does he carry the puck further than 10ft? No he doesn't. Nor does he lead rushes, beat someone one-on-one, hit with authority and he averages 1 shot per game! What he is developing is vad habits and a belief he doesn't belong and at this point in his career, he's absolutely correct! Why won't anybody in the nedia the media still convinced Marty and the Organization is doing what's best for his "development"? He went 1st overall with 10pts in 31gms with Turku. Which is acceptable I guess. In the WJHC in '21 didn't earn a point. He then amazed everyone in Bejing with 7g in 7gms. It was on this alone the Habs made him 1st overall…and I accept their choice, it wouldn't have been mine. But so far, in the best league in the world, Slaf looks sluggish (no quickness), behind the play and doesn't want the puck. After 58 games with the Habs, Slaf has15 points and sits at –17.To Kent and St Louis, this is acceptable progress? He wasn't drafted for his defenceb and goal scorers shoot the puck. Slaf gets 1 shot per game. Playmakers WANT the puck, carry it and make plays. This is something Slaf is unable or unwilling to do. In the Prospects games last year, he did very little but Owen Beck looked outstanding, owning the puck, using his quickness/speed and going coast to coast. NO ONE can explain WHY Slaf is still here and it begs the question why?

  17. IM SO PISSED Caufield didnt get a goal. He deserves another 7 goals this season which would put him at 12 goals. The goaltenders seem to wanna shut him down. I think he will still be the 40 goal guy but man. Still a bit annoying.

  18. Our D is about as useful as a screen door in the rain. We’re at a point now where if the goalies play unreal we for a chance otherwise we’re toast. Also a lottery if the offence can score more than 2.

  19. I live in Ontario, clock hit 10:02pm and I was out like the maple Leafs after round 1 😂
