The first is one of my favourite Oilers sweaters ever. Really nice throwback to the WHA while also being modernized decently. Don’t hate the other one but they don’t do anything for me. The colours are just a bit too garish and it ended up being sorta uninspiring. I did love the aways from that set though, the navy shoulder yokes and bright orange outlines looked awesome.

Im not a big fan of the orange jerseys in general but the reebok wasnt bad. The royal blue abd orange look good. I have about 30 oilers jerseys and i hated the orange addias so much i only bought one after they discontinued them and they were selling for $100. Im glad we switched back and ditched the orange.

Never liked the primary orange unis at all, in any form. I don’t care that they wore them in the 70s in some defunct league. Hell, I liked the navy and gold look from the 2000s better than the orange nasty things. I’m glad they came to their senses and ditched them as their primary look.

Orange is just a very, VERY tough colour to make work as the primary uniform colour.
Look at Philly. Yes, it kinda works, but they’re always seeming to change a little thing here and there every few years to make them a bit more…tolerable. They also use black as a secondary colour, which works much better than any shade of blue.
I didn’t mind either jersey. I actually own one of each of these, but I’m very glad they went back to the Royal Blues.

We honestly have a bottom 5 jersey in the league. This primary orange has been awful and whoever is charge of his should be fired. Bring back the Blue and White as the primary ones, or hell, wild idea, get a completely new jersey design. Its 2023, someone probably can come up with a completely new Oil drop design.

It literally doesn’t matter unfortunately, they have bailed on orange. I have the OG McDavid, pre-Captain and I love it. But so many don’t like the orange, and I don’t get it. The arena looks so awesome full of orange, but the team is going back to blue, which I also love based on my age and team history.

First one looks better by far. I have no idea why they didn’t just make that the home jersey when they switched to Adidas instead of bringing back the navy blue for apparently no reason. The worst thing about those awful orange and navy jerseys was that the helmet colour never matched the blue on the shoulder yokes. Shame so many of 97 and 29’s best years will have been in those awful jerseys.

They probably needed to dial back the orange a bit in the navy one. I like the combo, but on the ice that jersey was just too hot. I also don’t love the stripping. The Coliseum jersey is probably the stronger design.

Always hated the first. Never minded the 2nd, but I’ve always preferred the darker Oil jerseys in general. Grew up in the early 00’s, and the Navy-Copper, the McFarlane’s and the Navy two-tones from last season have always been my favourite.
