   Look, I get it, this sucks, but we’re going to drive ourselves mad following this every game. CKA is like the Toronto Maple Leafs of the KHL. They don’t give a shit about some teenager on their roster or his development. They don’t care that a team in the NHL drafted him and is waiting for him to play for them. They want to win. They won 50 games last year and want to win a championship this year.

   I don’t expect people to know a lot about the KHL or Russian hockey, but Michkov’s team is the team that all the Russian players played and trained with leading up to the PyeongChang Olympics where “not team Russia” won gold. They’re the team “owned” by the Russian army and are literally assets of the state. They could absolutely not care less about Michkov or our interest in his development.
