Ball Arena is a good venue in a prime location. Would be dumb to relocate. Maybe KSE should send a survey to evaluate the $12 cans of beer that they sell
A new arena with a practice rink could be viable in the same approximate location. Renovation could be a challenge if you compare the accommodations of newer buildings in the NHL and NBA

Welp shit guess it was fun being an Avs fan while it lasted

I hope they don’t relocate. It’s so convenient to stay downtown and walk there. I’ve loved this location so much.

“The organization says it will âconduct market due diligence to evaluate opportunities to enhance the fan experience at Ball Arena.â It adds that itâs âimportant that we look to the future to ensure the venue provides a modern, first-class experience for the next generation of fans.â
Sounds like they’re already leaning toward renovations not relocation!

So let a assume that Ball Arena needs to be replaced sometime in the next 2 decades. Downtown Denver, LoDO and the future development of the river walk will massively change the area.
So if Ball Arena did move to another location in Denver where would be best.
I think close to downtown/entertainment district, close to light rail are a must.
The currently location fits that standard, so ideally they could build on the same property.
Are there any other locations downtown with room for an arena? Maybe in RiNo, maybe sharing a parking lot with either Coors field or the football stadium. Maybe carve out some space in the college campus downtown.

Ball Arena isnât a bad arena by any means, but it lacks amenities compared to newer/renovated arenas. The one continuous club level is an outdated concept, and the press area is awful ever since the Kroenkes took over half. It feels pretty meh compared to MSG, Climate Pledge Arena, T-Mobile Arena, etc.

Did people not read the last part where it says “thereâs no talk of an entirely new arena for the teams in the release”?
I don’t see anything in here indicating relocation, more just upgrades to the venue which is now over 20 years old.

Whatâs the McNichols arena up to these days?

As long as they don’t relocate I don’t care. Kronke should have learned his lesson by putting DSGP out by rocky mountain arsenal. Ticket sales will dismal.

Kronke and Walton are gonna keep the money in the family and the new broncos stadium will be built in the Ball parking lot. throw in river mile it will be their own little entertainment city practically in the heart of Denver. I don’t see them moving the can and ruining all that.

Relocate? To where?
Do some remodeling. Itâs a great arena as is.

I would be happy with like three more inches of space between rows. But god knows how many rows youâd have to take out to do that.

Broncos want a new stadium, Avs might⊠letâs just go back 30 years and reverse what they did at Mile High.
McNichols 2.0 and Mile High 3.0 back in their original locations, with the new developments where Ball currently is.

Forget renovations and lower ticket prices đ©
Please renovate. Do not relocate!

With the new [Riverwalk ](https://www.9news.com/article/news/local/river-mile-development-plan-near-elitch-gardens-moves-forward/73-b06c68f1-55a2-40b8-bc50-e2235fbfab4a) and development of where elitches is it makes sense they are going to look at either renovating the whole area around the stadium or selling it as part of that.
