  1. Kings traded an entire third line for PLD. Kings have an abundance of bottom 6 players. Our third line center is now Danault with Moore to start with. Wow. It's looking good, plus a few doors open on the NHL roster.

  2. As always, Eddie, you did a great job of interviewing young mister Lee. And I did enjoy his thoughts on both teams. So, he doesn't live in Winnipeg? Hmmmmm, that's interesting? Anyway, I do wish our former players all the best up in the icy cold north…long as it's not against our team. Funny, that suddenly brought to mind the mad eskimo-on the sharks-was it TooToo? Anyway, he probably scored half his lifetime goals against our Kings it was a nightmare! Amazing how such a guy can come and then, just go/disappear/minors and gone <back in late 2000s>?

  3. I'm over the trade, I don't like the trade but I'm over it, I'm still a Kings fan, I still think Blake has done a great job and I'll root for PLD, I mean Dubois, Fialla and Kaliev that has potential to dominate offensively, I don't know who's playing defense but should be fun to watch.
I really like how Blake approached the goaltending, Rittich is a solid 3rd option that could potentially push Copley back to Ontario, Talbot has shown he can play well on solid teams, OTT didn't have the defense in front of him that he'll have in LA. LA's top 4 barring any regression is one of the best in the NHL, and Spence & Clarke have top pair/4 potential, but LD3 is a ?, 6 guys (Bjornfot, Moverare, Englund, Conaughton, Santini, and either Spence or Clarke) for 1 spot (maybe more if Nousianan or Krygier take a big step foward) is a lot to work out but Talbot has the opportunity to bounce back and at $1milllion this year and $1million next (cap wise assuming he plays 10 games bu come on) its really a no lose situation

  4. Good interview, Eddie, thx! I agree with him that the Jets got the better of the Kings in the PLD trade. I didn't like this trade for the Kings then & I still don't like it. I hope Dubois becomes a real star, scoring 35 goals & 75-80 points; otherwise the trade will make the Kings worse. Kings should have signed a true #1 goalie instead. The Kings are now maybe the worst team in net in the NHL.

  5. Eddie, Here's my take on the PLD trade. It may be true sending 3 players, and a draft pick seems like a ton, it really comes down to an impact player. If PLD comes in and is a monster in the middle, and gives us the deepest center position in the league then that's all that matters. The Kings sent 3 players that are solid role guys, but won't get you to the next level. Let's say the Kings face god forbid the Oilers a third time in the playoffs, would any of those 3 players we sent make a difference in the series? Probably not. There is a chance however that PLD can make a difference where a team can't keep up with our 3 lines, and it's enough to sway a series. Of course Blake could look terrible in this trade, but no risk no reward. I'm a little nervous that the Kings spent that kind of money without addressing the goaltending issue, but again if Copley plays well it is like going in to the Playoffs with a different look in net. Winnipeg isn't going to light the NHL on fire with these guys, and win a Cup where as the Kings could light the NHL on fire, and possibly win a Cup. That simple. Go Kings Go!

  6. Congrats Kings fans on you PLD acquisition and special thanks for taking him off the Jets hands. Enjoy your new locker room poison.
