See this interesting hockey highlight of an American Hockey League (AHL) shootout attempt by AHL pro ice hockey player Brett Seney of the Rockford Ice Hogs hockey team against ice hockey goaltender Zachary Sawchenko of the Chicago Wolves hockey team.
Brett Seney carries the hockey puck up the ice for the shootout, takes a shot that goes over the net, the puck then hits the glass behind the net and rebounds back into goalie Zachary Sawchenko, and goes in the net.🥅😲
Good goal or no goal???🤷♂️🤔😎

Not sure about the rules on this one but I say… GOAL!!!💥
Goal because the play was still live
Good goal. Maintained forward motion. Player only shot the puck once. Play wants whistles dead, puck was still alive.
It's a goal in every situation possible. Good goal.
Should be a goal. It’s not any different then hitting the post and having it hit the goalie and go in. The play is live until either the goalie makes a save, the puck goes in or the shooter misses the net and the puck comes to a stop before crossing the goal line.
