if the choice was keep halak and trade price for a TRUE number 1 center would you have done it?

December 2009 I was at the Centennial game and when I went to buy a jersey- it had to be Price!
My dad was with me and he questioned if I should get Halak or maybe a skater instead… I felt so wise and vindicated when Halak was traded despite his amazing 2010 run.

Halak should have stayed as a 1b, could have had a great tandem for years!

It wouldn’t have changed much for us if we traded Price. Halak has had a pretty great career, and has an almost identical GAA and SV% as Price. I think the only difference is Halak might not have found the extra gear to carry us to the final in 2021.
