I personally think J.Carter is a huge risk!! I hope it works out. I like Carter way more thrn drafting an olinemen ! Or edge . I wanted robinson! I hate ATL now. Lol. Oh well. Carter and edge rusher is a very solid 1st round. I kind of wanted branch at 30 though .

J.Carter raced on city streets that lead to two deaths that is horrible, and is a huge deal, this is a risky pick. Eagles drafted him, these questions need to be asked and Eagles opened a bad can of worms drafting Carter, im sorry. This also shows they aren't haply with Jordan Davis, I don't care Davis is used as a true NT. Davis was a huge disappointment last year.
Between outstanding player, coach and office leadership carter should be just fine.

Winning the draft doesn’t mean squat. It doesn’t win you games in the regular season or the Super Bowl, if you’re good or lucky enough … injuries were minimal last year … to get there. It’s just a peek into the future, two to three years down the line. And in that respect, this was a very good haul … so far … with the drafting of Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith. Kudo’s to Howie, Laurie, Nick and the whole Eagles organization. There was no gambling, like Howie did in the past, only to fail spectacularly … Danny Watkins anyone? [bangs head on wall]. They listened to their highly regarded scouting department and Howie maneuvered … trades and whatnot … the franchise in such a way, to make all of this possible. Go Birds!!!

He was racing a non race car on a street city! It's 1000% not safe, the car and street isn't built for that. Race on a race track which is built for racing. This pick is a huge risk because of the player!! Two people died because of both cars that were racing. If both people do not make this awful choice , everyone is alive today

Would point out that the risk is relative to who else was available. Robinson wasn't available anyway. Given the Eagles philosophy they probably would have taken Carter even if Robinson was available. There isn't anyone available at 9/10 that could even compare to Carter.

Jalen Carter was the RIGHT move at 9. DT was a position of need and on tape Carter was the clear cut best player in the draft. I'd rather Howie miss on this pick then for him to overthink it like he did when he drafted Reagor over Jefferson. I feel like these last two drafts Howie has really learned from his mistakes. Sure, your're not going to hit on all your draft picks but it's important to hit on one's especially in the first one. Taking the wrong guy could really set back an organization.
