This trade made me really question Grierโs vision for the team.
We shall see. If Merkley just blossomsโฆ oh my.
Unpopular opinion of why this trade is good: the D we got is cost-controlled for one more season and would be in our top-6 D. Plus, we can flip him for a better pick next year if he does ok. A good depth D can get a 3rd or 4th round pick. Last year Cogliano only got a 5th round pick in a next-year draft
Matty traded back to the Avs- where is our speed now
