if that "me me me" person is scoring points and winning you games then i don't see the problem? if by "playing for the next guy" he meant blocking shots, going after opponents who bullies your teammates, get the bench going, then isn't that his job as a vet and a dman? but he's not doing that. man just leave the scoring to michkov and martone (i know that's who he's pertaining to) and do your job.
Bottom line is simple you and the team SUCK! Always crying. The cryers and all phila. teams are a JOKE!
It's hard to play for the guy next to you, when you know the roster is incomplete and that the leadership team has no plan to remediate that in any practical manner.
You are being asked to be a perennial middle team this way. Comcash is getting what they want. It just won't result in a winning team because the only way to get 1D and 1C is to be bad, but these guys are being asked to go out and put in a shift like real Flyers, and they earn a lot of OT points and some scrappy wins.
We must sell assets and get others that can land us those positions. I think what would be best would be to get the 1D in the 2027 draft with our pick and the 1C next year by flipping Toronto's 1 and players for a 1st round pick in the 2028 draft which seems to have more C prospects.
If we have a 23 year old Michkov, 22 year old Martone, the 2027 1D and then draft the 2028 1C, we have the wings to fill it out with a more mature Foester and Zegras and then Knuble, Bonk, Barkey, who will all be under 25!
This is really the only plan that will satisfy the timeline.
I'm already done watching for the year you guys are trash pretty sure my local Jr B team could beat you guys
