  1. Let's take a look at the goals Jarry let in: 1) Stops a 2on1, rebohbd is in. 2) Perfect pass ob another 2on1. 3) Open shot from 15 feet out. 4) Open shot after nice passing play on the PP. 5) Stops a breakaway, rebound is in. 6) That one he should have stopped, but who cares at the point? All in all, atrocious defending by the Oilers, conpletely left hin out to dry. But of course it's the goalie's fault. There is a reason that sub 90 save percentages are the norm these days, players are faster and shoot more accurately than ever before. Combine that with a team that does not know or care how to play defense and it is a recipe for disaster. What I do not understand is why the Oilers play more responsible in front of Levi when it is clear they trust hin more anyway. They should give more effort wheb Jarry is playing if they think he is less likely to bail them out.

  3. Sorry for my late comment, but the oilers are back in reality! Jones. Joseph, Michaels, Formenton and others are not the stuff they need, are finally mit good enough for a run to Mr Stanley. And sending down samanski is a huge mistake, he gave the oilers stability and structure, had last season a "+" statistic. There ate others who should go, Fredrick for example plays garbage since over a year. With Samanski the oilers lost only one game and they got only a handful of goals, without him they lost 2 of the 4 games and they got 25 (!!) goals!! It would be Babcocks job integrating Samanski in the right way, improving his offensiv game. But instead of doing it, he sends him a down to backersfield. In the pre season the oilers were beating the Canucks with Samanski and Howard, they got zero goals. Without him they got 9 in the first regular game and lost, and the Canucks were nearly the same team as in the pre season. Now they are back to normal, they are strong in one line and nit good enough overall. Sorry for my thoughts.

  4. Always a great time playing against Edmonton. Good game as always to the Oilers and the fans this game was an amazing show of what the teams are made of despite the score

  5. Mcdavid with 2 point night is not getting to a 200 points season. Toronto you defeated back to back SC finalist, start planning the parade after 60 years.

  6. Leafs fan here: Cowan deserves an assist on Goal #1. C'mon guys. The puck was on his stick seconds before the goal went in and that play does not occur without him. Deespite the lopsided score this was a close game and the Oilers played very well. They just never got the bounces whereas the Leafs did. I thought it was a great high energy game where both teams came to play. Very entertaining. Toronto right now looks dialed in, convinced that they can win each game. They beat a very good Oilers team.

  7. Oilers fan here – i'm happy for you leafs fans.
Oilers didn't play the best, leafs did and that's the result, humbling game for the oilers.
I saw the cheer on the leafs bench after the stecher game winner vs rangers – it's nice to see Matthews smile for once….
McDavid smiles way more too this season.
    Good vibes, no problem.
