Trading him for even a 5th or 6th is worth it because that is 3.5 M for the next 3+ Years that they could use in a Matthew Schaefer deal or for cap room at the deadline this Year in case they are in playoff contention

The game just passed him by when you see the way D move around the ice. His big body is the only thing that gives him a physical advantage and even that is waning.
George has only played 3 of 7 games this year. If he is falling apart, trade him before his value is gone. George and Mayfield for a 2nd pick.
Mayfield, Pelech and Pulock couldn’t make any other NHL ROSTER. Each year at the trade deadline…NO ONE INQUIRES ABOUT THEM. Cheezus!!
Mayfield is insurance and will be a healthy scratch unless there is an injury. He will be traded next season. He is not interested in uprooting his family this season unless its Colorado. Unfortunately slow players only get slower as they age. Imagine this, watched an OT game from 3 years ago vs San Jose. You know who started on D on the 3 on 3? Pulock!
Trade him and get any round draft pick you can get. Getting rid of his $3.5 million contract for four more seasons would be huge!
