Scary stuff for anyone. Glad to hear Ben is back home. Best wishes to him and the organization.
I'm curious if during the game they hit him a lot and some were pretty hard hits. Could that have caused it.
Your in are prayers Ben.
Love that he had company to bring him home. Get some rest kid, see you soon.
not to doxx myself lowkey but i've struggled with episodes of presyncope since middle school (and lucky me the triggers are getting more and more stupid as i get older lol) and was officially diagnosed with vasovagal syncope in 2023 (and dysautonomia in 2024 or 2025 – roman josi also has a form of dysautonomia called PoTS).
despite this i have never actually Passed Out bc the thought of it scares me that bad. there have been times where i have no vision and no hearing and they have to give me smelling salt and the only way anyone knows i'm conscious is bc i'm still gripping someone's hand or something.
but anyway regardless of the cause (HOPEFULLY kindy was just dehydrated/it was a one-off), to think of a young kid with no history of fainting regularly or anything like that and on a PLANE of all places like… i hope he's getting hugs from everyone in his life bc even as someone with history/already chronically ill i would still be Beyond terrified in that situation.
the First thing i said when the first statement broke was thank god dr. vyas travels with them and that he and the airline staff were able to take care of kindy, and that the org is taking this seriously even if it wasn't the worst possible scenario and it's personal to me as someone who's had my own disabilities/illnesses waved off my whole life.
fingers crossed that they are able to pinpoint what exactly caused the episode and i'm glad he's back in pitt and with the guys even if he's not skating. be nice to the people in your lives who are going through something, they need it and kindy's such a good kid all around i can't imagine how brave he's had to be in this situation ❤️🩹
Thank God! Looks like Bed will be alright in time. Kyle seems shaken and that's a great quality to have in his position. Certainly a lot of caring with the Penguins organization.
Well it's good he's stable. It's good he flew back as well. Just another example how the pens a first class.❤
