Bruce Cassidy would be a better choice
I can't believe Mehta didn't go clean slate. Analytics do show the offense was 10x better after the system changes Post Olympics but all the negativity from last season carries over the moment the Team loses a bad game or a couple games in a row there isn't only a short leash on Mehta keeping Keefe there is also a shorter leash on players believing in Keefe. Idk why NJ chose to go 100% fresh slate for the Team this Season.
Torts wouldn't be a good choice though… he'd destroy this Team within 1 Season. The way VGK signed him for a playoff run is the only type of Torterella signing that makes sense from what we saw from his career. Deboer was the guy NJ needed sadly.
