Paul Maurice has Good News on Barkov Injury; Florida Panthers Visit LA Kings

Florida Panthers coach Paul Maurice has good news on the injury to captain Sasha Barkov after his team’s morning skate in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026.

The Panthers (1-0-2) are coming off a 3-2 loss in OT to the host Anaheim Ducks on Sunday.

On Sunday, the Panthers got Brad Marchand back for the first time since March after putting captain Sasha Barkov on LTIR.

Down 2-1 late in the second, the Panthers got the game-tying goal from Marchand with 1:50 left. Carter Verhaeghe tied the score at 1 in the first.

Florida wraps up the road trip Tuesday against the Los Angeles Kings at 10 (ESPN).
