The Anaheim Ducks opened the 2026-27 season with a chaotic 4-3 win over the Vegas Golden Knights, blowing a 4-0 lead before holding on for the victory. Leo Carlsson, Cutter Gauthier, Beckett Sennecke, and Jackson LaCombe helped lead the way, while Lukas Dostal made some huge saves to keep the Ducks in it early and late. Noah Warren made his NHL debut and picked up his first NHL assist, while Carlsson had an absolutely ridiculous pass to Sennecke for the opening goal. We also have to talk about the new Amazon Prime broadcast, including the black screens, “we’ll be back” moments, and the hilarious two-minute conversation between John Ahlers and Brian Hayward that they didn’t realize was on air. After a longer-than-usual break from Duck My Life, we’re back for another season of Anaheim Ducks hockey, so let’s see what this team has in store.   16. Thanks for this. Flames lost their first game 6-1, second intermission, they lead Vancouver 1-0, which would be a result I’d call a Darryl Sutter perfect game. Work hard, keep digging, get a goal, go into the corners, and make that one goal stand up as the winner!

  23. DUCK MY LIFE. IVE SO MISSED YOU. Do you think we would have challenged that play if the game was close? knowing that the PP would be much more devastating?

  28. I was able to have the TV broadcast and stream side by side. Seems like the production team was expecting a 15 second delay, but had a 25 second delay. TV broadcast was also randomly going black during play (coulda just been the BWW's TVs, although none of the others turned off).

    Defense and Dosty looked good. Need the offense to be able to sustain zone time more.

  33. The idea that the offer sheet pressed GMPV into action where he would have otherwise dilly-dallied and dragged things into training camp is an interesting perspective that I never thought of.
