  1. Last season was tailor made for Carolina, because it rewarded teams even more than usual who had favourable travel schedules during the compressed Olympic schedule and penalized teams that relied on a couple players to win their games because of the attrition factor of the brutal schedule. It was the win by depth season for well coached teams. This season, Carolina could still make it to the Final Four but things will go back to the league's default settings and they probably won't even finish first in their division.

  2. Jacob "the secretary of defense" /'Gold medalist"/"Stanley cup Champion" Slavin, makes alot of money for a defensive dman. their is just no comps for someone like him.

  3. Carolina should win their division and have a good chance to make it back to the finals. However, it's really tough to do that and if they lose the conference finals I won't be surprised.

  4. The SDPN guys FINALLY put some respect on the Hurricanes' name. Last year, Steve almost predicted the Canes to finish 3rd in the Metro before changing his mind and predicting 2nd place, and still predicted the under on 106.5 points.

Since '20-'21, the Hurricanes' season points totals have been 117*, 116, 113, 111, 99, and 113. That's an average of 111.5, and there are two more games this year. They very likely demolish the 108.5 O/U.

    I'm predicting 118 points.

*117 is the equivalent prorated number of points based on the shortened season. The actual point total was 80 points in 56 games.
