1. Ah yes the videos I was waiting for

2. As a Canucks fan, I would say over, but still 8th. Expect some more fun play from our young guys. Want us to lose fun games, not just have miserable, boring hockey.

3. Interesting choice using the old logo

4. Tanking is pointless. The Canucks will never pick 1st, the league won't allow it.
   Also, trying to win a Cup is pointless. The league will never allow it. And if you think I'm being irrational, go look at the 2010 finals. Even the Bruins are amazed at how much they can get away with.

   So Vancouver's only goal should be to play a brand of hockey that is fun to watch and make the playoffs, maybe win a round or two every few years.

5. Yes Pettersson has regressed and been disappointing for a bit but I do want to highlight that it has been 2 seasons that are sub point per game while dealing with knee issues.

   How long would Pettersson need to perform closer to his contract for us to say he has improved towards expectations and there be trust moving forward that he won't regress again? To me that is at least 1 full season playing 80+ games and getting 75-85 points. If that happens there might be another team that would trade for him in the off season or the following trade deadline if he can keep that up in 27-28.

   Though I am pessimistic about that happening

9. i know no one cares about ep40s underlying numbers were pretty good last yesr. I think with the new vibes and fresh locker room he does have bounce back potential.

   Also this teams roster is sooooo much better than the Flames its not even funny, the ONLY position the flames are better at is goalie. This roster is not bad. Debrusk, EP40, Boeser, Hronek, Buium, Rossi are good hockey players.

   Chytil, Gallagher, Lekkerimaki, Ohgren and Cotter are good depth forwards. Schenn Oleksiak and WIllander are good depth defensemen. Their depth isnt great but it exists. The flames 1C is Morgan Frost whose career high was 43 points, which is well below even the Struggling EP40.

   The flames will probably do better because again, goaltending, but the rest of the roster I favour the Canucks and by a lot, especially if Caleb Malhotra makes the jump.

21. adam foote was the architect of last year's debacle. a confusing system that nobody bought into. they will finish in the lottery again this season.

22. 11.5m isn’t even crazy for a good 2 way 2C in this new cap environment. He’s still overpaid but any team needing a 2C can buy low asset wise. He’s going to move

23. Canucks fan here. My prediction: 27 wins. 61 points. Dead last. Still pick 3rd in the draft. Still no practice facility😂

24. The Canucks are probably going to have a feel good season, after shoveling out most of the barn. I expect them to be 3rd worst in the League and might not even be the worst in the Pacific Division. They'll have more points in the standings, just because there will (hopefully) be less drama and they don't have the worst travel schedule at the same time as the ridiculous compressed schedule for the Olympics that damaged everyone in the Pacific. They still have Demko, Pettersson, and Boeser as hangers on from the last regime's bad contracts, but there's a faint hope of a Pettersson revival (extremely faint) and Brock Boeser is the nicest of the Americans they filled the roster up with. A huge roster issue the Canucks have had for years was having two bonified snipers (DeBrusk & Boeser) who don't have a functional playmaking centre to set them up. At this point, Demko makes Freddy Andersen look unbreakable and Chytil should just retire before he gets another head injury.

25. Trade Elias (the forward) and retain 50%. You get a great return. The key with retention is it really opens up the number of teams that would make an offer. Lotta teams would love a 2C or very high end 3C. it'll be at least 4-5 years before the cap ceiling becomes an issue and this helps with the cap floor.

    Same playbook as Mike Grier trading EK65, Timo and Hertl.

    The good news for Vancouver, its harder to build a d-group than a forward group because d-men take so much longer. But they've got a few young and talented sorts to build around. Maybe 3 guys who'll be legit top 4 sorts with a PP1 guy in Buium.

    You get the forwards via the draft and 3 years from now. you're turning the corner with a talented, young and exciting team.

26. The canucks will not get a first overall pick.

Canucks rebuilt year 1…dismantling and selling assets to get more picks, also get dead cap for assets like Montréal did with Monahan and you should be fine in 3 or 4.years…also Buium and Malhotra are good starts but your need more and also you need to solve the goalie problem once and for all…can Demko stay healthy yes or no ?

28. You guys are pretty dumb. EP40 is in fact good, and Boeser being captain is insane.

    EP's contract is now insane value because the league has inflated around him

29. It's honestly a tad annoying listening to people in other markets talk about the Canucks. Like, nothing you're saying is technically incorrect, but it's missing a ton of nuance.

30. The goal for the year is to play well, but not good enough in any way so the aim is to get the top3 picks.

31. EP40 and demko being on this roster as we approach the beginning of the 26/27 season is insane to me. Add in De Brusk who can't seem to decide if he wants a trade (comments from the end of last season) to not wanting a trade (comments as of about 2 weeks ago). An untried NHL head coach. Poor roster construction (but I appreciate they're at the start of a rebuild). The last management group screwed up this team and roster so badly that this new management group is having to navigate poor contracts and they did great moving on from Myers and MP and Garland when they did. I expect the Canucks to be bottom of the division and bottom of the league again and magically not get first overall pick.

    Edit: Also there's no reason to get rid of Petey for cap space. We should only trade him for assets (which is unlikely lol so probably he stays)

34. This rebuild entirely depends on whether Aquelini has the patience to not end it too early. Judging from the past, it seems unlikely.

35. The first 7 minutes you made at least 10 mistakes not knowing anything about Canaucks

37. Hronek is generally more considered as Captain than Boeser, Boeser is not really Captain material he's very soft-spoken it would be like Nylander as Captain.

38. Praying for a Goddamn MIRACLE this season. I just pray to god our rebuild doesn't take 10+ years. If we NEED to lose games I can understand that. I'd still like to not be a joke people point and laugh at from the Camucks hat I'm wearing walking down the street.

39. 8:40 Boeser ABSOLUTELY wants to ride it out. Boeser is the last ACTIVE Canucks player to play with the Sedins. He wants to stay the rest of his career if possible.

40. I will point out that at least Pettersson's production isn't as low as Huberdeau's. He's also 27, yet people are talking like he's 30+. He's not out of it yet. He's a long shot and may never deserve his contract, but he's certainly not out of turning it around.

    The expectations around him are too high though and I think that's the problem.

42. As Canuck Fan, biggest hope is the team vibes well, youth grows, and frankly be bad enough to have good lotto odds but not as bad as last year😂 like finish bottom 5 but not last it doesn't matter
