The Niners haven’t even played a preseason snap yet, and the injury concerns are already piling up. In this segment, the hosts break down the latest from 49ers training camp — from Mike Evans’ quad strain to the growing questions around Ricky Pearsall, Christian Kirk, and Deebo Samuel’s role in a crowded receiver room. The conversation shifts into a bigger-picture debate: is this Niners roster simply too old and too banged-up to avoid the injury issues that derailed last season? The hosts dig into whether the front office bears responsibility for the current state of the wide receiver group, and revisit the ongoing argument over just how much Kyle Shanahan’s presence is worth to this team’s success. Along the way, they also touch on the Giants’ MLB trade deadline moves and a heated moment from Niners camp involving Dre Greenlaw.
Topics discussed include:
Mike Evans, Ricky Pearsall, and the Niners’ injury report
Deebo Samuel’s return and what it means for Jauan Jennings-type snaps
The Giants’ trade deadline sell-off
Whether the Niners are a “brittle” roster heading into 2026
The ongoing debate: how valuable is Kyle Shanahan really?
Dre Greenlaw’s physical camp moment with Christian McCaffrey
Do you think the Niners can stay healthy this season, or is this the same story as last year? Let us know in the comments.

Who is this guy with Guru?!? Saying the guys that are hurt are old and substation is none issue?!? You have 4 rookies that have no injury history hurt 2 days into camp. Dismissing the substation with no evidence that’s NOT the SS is ignorant.
Unpopular opinion but part of me thinks Kyle could be a major part of the injury issue.
The CBA limits team training and if the players don't stay in shape during the offseason injuries are expected. It isn't just the Niners. Non-contact soft tissue injuries have tripled since the last CBA went into effect. These modern players are just out of shape. Do the research.
That substation ain't no bs. Look into the science. History will frown on this
second guessing is easy.
The Substation hums so loud you can feel it in your head and all the leaves and trees next to it are dead….eh it's probably nothing!
There’s a park in my neighborhood that’s right next to a substation and it s so loud!!!! And all the kids in the play ground are walking around hurt
Terrible practice facility??
New flash! Injuries happen in football, the substation has been there since 2003, stop the bullshit!
