  1. they cant break the bank for a guy with only 2 years left unless he resigns. you would just set yourself back so badly in the future just like when tre traded the 1sts for literal garbage. teh jackets dont want picks and the ones from either team will be high

  2. You three and your pronunciation of very well known names seems like an inside joke of which only you and seven other people are aware.

  3. Leafs have the same picks the lighting do and more with that COL 1st. Leafs also have Knies, Cowan, Danford and Hildeby to dangle well Tampa does not have prospects like that.

  4. There’s risk in trading a solid roster player under a team friendly contract for 2 years (or less) of an all star. There’s also a chance that trading for Werenski increases your chances of re-signing Matthews and Werenski if Matthews wants to build a super team here… so not making the trade increases the risk of losing Matthews. Trading Knies, not making a deep playoff run and then losing Matthews sets your team way back. If Matthews staying (with or without Werenski) costs Knies, it’s probably worth it. If we’re losing both Werenski and Matthews in 1-2 years, then you NEED players like Knies to rebuild with McKenna. Presumably Leafs are having these types of discussions with the players but we can never really know player intentions (and intentions can change).

  5. Toronto doesn’t have firsts, elite prospects, or roster depth….not sure what they could put together for Werenski without including Knies. CBJ isn’t saying yes just to say yes.

  6. If I'm Waddell I'm telling him, "Great, see you at camp. We'll revisit this next offseason when you have a 10-team trade list and I'll send you wherever the f#@k I please…"

  7. I’ll tell you what I was one of many people s***** on chayka when the leafs got him but so far he has done as admirable job up until this point, however if he manages to get Werenski without giving up Knies and somehow also acquires bobrovsky as well, then aside from my personally apologizing to the dude we might have to rename a street after him, that would be insane and pure mastery.
