1. Just looked at Marchments stats, there’s no way they are bringing him in for toughness, so why even bother ? Hes not gonna put up 30 goals or 50 assists. The game itself is revolving back to a very physical game and the isles are barely scratching the surface with Schenn and Mayfield, they still need an intimidator / protector, that’ll open up the scoring forwards. Let Lee walk ! He made it abundantly clear how much he likes pond hockey in his backyard, let Minnesota sign him, you’ve got Horvat, Schenn, Barzy, Palmieri for guiding the younger players, give a kid a shot in Lee’s spot, it’s not gonna cost much or hurt that much and if it does, the whiners can be happy that the isles lose games and are rebuilding

2. The way it looks with the islanders are they love being average and love mid thirties players. I hope I’m still alive when they start getting younger

3. Lee doesn't want to stay. He would have signed already if he did – a base salary contract with incentives because he's signing a 35+ contract that won't be able to be bought out. Time to move on.

Mitch is 100% right 5:49 and on and I wish other isles fans would realize this but Darche is trying to leave room for our hopeful superstars coming up not sign Jason Robertson for 15 million dollars for the next 8 years which would be awesome but never gonna happen but seriously as much as it sucks not going and getting a superstar winger we’ve desperately needed for years we have promising young guys who r almost ready

9. If I'm Darche this offseason: I'd had done walked away from Lee already! Then…
   1) Sign offer sheet to Mavrik Bourque.
   2) Dangling Barzal and Pulock – for – Knies and Robertson plus 2nd round pick (something on those lines).
   3) I'm taking a long look at Jeffrey Viel (UFA) – he has the toughness this team could use.
   I know the team is littered in 3rd-4th liners – but none of them have the grit and toughness like JV.

10. I doubt Lee comes back and that choice was made last season when Darche(scratch that Lou) traded for Palat.

11. My guess……Aitch makes the team out of camp. He had one of the nastiest seasons last year and that boy can do it all…..shoot, score, pass, HIT, play D (maybeeee not to DeBoers level, but still solid)

    He may be a more talented scorer than Schaef, unquestionably shoots harder. Not close to the skater Schaef is, but still.

    Calling it now….Aitch is on the starting roster.

    So does Eklund.

12. This fanbase has every right to be annoyed with this franchise.They play in the biggest market in north america , and they run it like we play Wyoming. F this team

13. I'd keep Anders as a 4th line winger if possible.

14. Several Players did not get QOs that have far more potential and fit the roster better than Anders Lee , Brink, Maccelli just to name 2 that a re younger and produce 3rd line + Production
