  1. OMFG can we stop with asking if veterans would come back to Van or come to Van???? Every old guy you add = 1 less spot for your prospects and rookies. We're in a REBUILD, the young guys need to play. Have the Media and fans not learned from all the mistakes made by past MGMT moving out youth for vets??? I loved Troy as a Canuck, but if he joins, who loses their spot? Mancinni? Kudryasev? D Petey? On that note let's refresh the list of young players the Canucks gave up on early, and turned into solid NHL'er we wished we'd kept: M.Peca, S.Walker, J. McCann, J. Chatfield, 2x cup champion J. Gadjovic,, & G. Forsling, 1x cup champion (maybe 2?) Ben Hutton, J.Chatfield, RJ Umberger, M. Grabner, A.Shilovs… All these guys were Canucks and Coaching + MGMT never gave them a real chance to stick, shipped them off for Veterans or to make room for FREE AGENT signings…. How about as a collective Canucks fans and Media stay the course… Funny how so many people rip into ownership for not rebuilding, now it's happening, but now talk about bringing in OLDER players… There will be a time for that, but it's not now…

  2. Thanks for having Troy on the show! Great listening to this young man who has overcome a lot to stay and succeed in the NHL! Vancouver should have kept this guy long ago and now, the Leafs would be making a mistake not having him as an anchor on the back end! Classy guy, well-spoken and great desire! Hope he gets a 5 year contract this time out!!

  3. I love Stech. Hard-worker, loyal, great for culture. Canucks fucked up when they let him go. He’d be a perfect guy to have around the kids. I’d welcome him back with open arms. He’ll battle for any team he’s on. Treats being in the NHL as a privilege, not a right. Still wears suits even though he doesn’t have to. There’s literally nothing to dislike about Stecher. Bring him home.

  4. Rebuilds need solid veteran leaders while they happen. You cannot break it all down and dress 15 skaters under 24 years old. Players like Stetcher and Luke Schenn would be a welcome addition to the roster. They don't need to play 25 minutes a night, but when some of your young D are having a bad night, you can protect them a little and up the minutes with your vets.

If the Canucks are going to do FULL REBUILD mode, then Hronek and M Peterson are going to be gone by the trade deadline at the latest, so players like Stetch and Schenn would be great to have on the books.

  5. Troy Teacher would fit well here. Montreal guy no. Cost is four mill a year cap hit is 6.5 mill. I hope RJ does not make a dumb move. Warren Fogs is way cheeper.
