Excellent trade for the Sharks, if Kesselring can bounce back which i believe he can, the Sharks have a good D in him. Grier is such a good GM!
I don't like Vegas because of how they treated Marc-Andre Fleury. I hated seeing him go, but I understood why the Pens went with Murray over him. And he was amazing for Vegas – the heart and soul of hisnew team, gets them to the finals against Ovi, wins a Vezina and a Jennings. So what does Vegas do? Sends him to a rebuilding Chicago for nothing. How can anyone like or respect a team like that?
Kesselring's shot from the blueline is lethal and he likes to use it. He got skunked in the few games he played for Buffalo, but he can really let it fly.
I think people view the VGK's owner as another Steinbrenner of MLB. Trying to buy trophy's more than earn them. Puts people off.
I don't think Buffalo was interested in re-signing Kesselring and he could have been offer-sheeted and Buffalo would have only gotten a 3rd.
I'm really happy Chase Wouters is sticking around in Abbotsford. I don't think he will play in the NHL, but teams need strong AHL teams to help develop their NHL roster.
I think how Vegas treated Marc-Andre Fluery really turned people against them. Everyone loves that guy. Like I don't know any fan from any team who hates Marc-Andre Fluery. And Vegas did him real dirty imo. Just the way they did it.
Is Vegas tone deaf yes.
KK Harvey is an epic player. Might become the most famous Vancouver athlete of all-time.
Good trade for the Sharks. Don't follow Buffalo enough to place an opinion there.
Personally I think the way Vegas came into existence is the problem. The fact that they were allowed to take established good players from every team instead of developing a team causes resentment
Vegas is a team of gun-for-hires.. the team lacks identity and they seem to bend the rules whenever they can. Do they succeed – absolutely, but it seldom looks good when they do (signing Hart, Marner conversation before hiring and the whole IRL think prior to the changes). Carolina on the other hand – pure team with real blue collar identity. So happy they won.
I think a lot of the dislike towards Vegas is due to their mistreatment of vets like Fleury
Please tell me you have a video coming up about Hockey Night in Canada and Sportnet/Roger's sheer greed.
When i first saw the news I thought it was the 2nd overall pick involved and almost shat
That's cheap for Kesselring even after the season he had.
McCrimmon's latest post said that his Mom says he's 'a very good boy" and to "stay away from devil women" 🤣
Congrats to Vancouver for finally picking first in the draft.
Thanks for the PWHL news.
Great win for the Sabers getting the 20th pick for a player who didn't even make the roster…
Buffalo lost this trade
This is a great trade by Grier! I do think Kessselring thrives with the San Jose lineup with Celebrini. They have so many options with the 27th pick. They can package that for more rebuild assets, roster depth or they can just use it. Recently the Sharks have drafted really well at this position. Musty 26th ovr, Ravensbergen 30th ovr, Chernyshov 33rd ovr.
People hate Vegas because they’re extremely corny…and Hart
Vegas has built a unique winner but I'm not a fan of their ruthless approach to asset management and doing things like revoking a reporter's credentials because they don't like the questions that being asked about that asset management makes their front office pretty easy to dislike no matter what happens on the ice
