2. Larkin is a 3rd line center on 3/4 of the teams in the league. He isn't clutch and isn't a leader.

3. Here’s an interesting thought. Jason Robertson might cost too much for Dallas, what if Larkin and another piece or two get traded to Dallas for robo on a sign and trade? Doesn’t solve the center issue in Detroit but sort of keeps Dallas alive in that ultra competitive division and Detroit gets a star player back

5. I predict that if Larkin leaves, the Red Wings will have a better season statistically next year than they did this year. I don’t think he is a bad guy, but Larkin has held us back for a decade. He is not a first line center.

McTavish, McQueen, + Would help Detroit have someone to fill in for Larkin now at C, give McTavish a chance to play up the lineup after being pushed down in Anaheim, losing McQueen would not hurt current Anaheim roster, and this helps Detroit's window shift towards Seider and Raymond window. We'll have to figure out Debrincat, but could also bring us another haul.

    2. SJ for either Misa or Smith + this year's 2nd overall (they said are willing to trade), +

    3. Utah for Desnoyers , Iginla, +

    4. Chicago for Frondell or Nazar, 4th overall or Dickenson, +

11. Today it’s Larkin. Tomorrow it’s Debrincat, the next day seider

12. As a Wild fan this makes might just be the 1C we have been waiting for! He is a midwest guy, so he won't be afraid of going to Minnesota. Plus a bunch of his teammates from team USA are already in the building. And Billy put him on the USA squad. Plus he probably wants to stick as a 1C and be on a title contender. Add all of that up and it makes a ton of sense for him to use his NMC to go to the Wild.

13. Yzerman will give a 1st round pick or more along with Larkin if he does what he did with Walman a few years ago.

14. He has a no trade, so he will be able to dictate where he’s gonna go

15. He'll be a Flyer. He has full control where he goes. He'll want a team that is young and playoff capable. Flyers check both those boxes. Maybe Tippett and Berglund or Jett and a 2nd, maybe Risto. I wanna keep Barks and Bump and Bonk but we definitely have prospects.

16. Let’s stop acting like Larkin is a superstar. He’s not. He’s a 2C on any competent NHL team. He’s supposed to be a captain, yet allowed a team to crumble in March 4 years in a row to miss the playoffs. His trade from Detroit is the best thing for the franchise and will allow an actual Captain material player lead the franchise.

29. Not sure but I think I've heard Hischier maybe wants out of NJ aswell… so it could be the only 1v1 that makes sense if that's the case! For both teams it would be like keeping the player you didn't want to trade away in the beginning and both players get a new start.

    especially now when it's out, no way. the price is down. Honestly most probably Yzerman's office leaked it to have a reason no to do anything.
