  1. "Both goaltenders were great."???? Are you even watching the games? Anderson has been completely out of sync and slow to react. That first goal last night by MTL should have never went in. Dobeš has been amazing and is the reason the last 2 games were close.

  2. The Canadiens look tired. Tired teams make mistakes. Carolina is out muscling them.
The Canadiens have not played their best game. Has Carolina played their best? We'll see next game.

  3. To take down the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final, the Canadiens need to focus on three critical tactical areas:
Evade the Shutdown Matchup: Head coach Martin St. Louis must use the last-change advantage at home to get the top line of Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Juraj Slafkovsky away from Jordan Staal's shutdown unit and the Jaccob Slavin–Jalen Chatfield defensive pairing.
Generate Odd-Man Rushes: Carolina's aggressive, high-pressure system suffocates the boards. Montreal needs to utilize quick, hard rims to the weak side, beat the first layer of pressure, and let their young speed create counter-attacking rush opportunities through the neutral zone.
Exploit the Power Play: The Hurricanes boast an elite penalty kill. For the Habs to win low-scoring territorial battles, dynamic puck-movers like Lane Hutson and Ivan Demidov must capitalize on limited man-advantage opportunities to break Carolina's structure.

  4. The moment the 3rd goal was challenged, I knew it would be disallowed. Why? Because Cole Caufield was "attached" to the play and he has had bad luck throughout all 3 series. 😮

  5. Not going to win too many more games in these playoffs tallying just 12 shots on goal per game.

The Habs can only rely on their 'Mystique & Aura' & the media constantly bubbling up their 'best home atmosphere' in the league for so long. Eventually they have to start creating scoring chances again.

Of course, Carolina, after stumbling in Game 1 of this series following the long layoff, are back to playing as they were in the earlier playoff rounds. And getting better with each game as well. They've been knocking on the door the last couple of years in the playoffs, this might finally be their time to break through.
