  1. Yet another third period implosion leading to yet another road loss and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. Can someone tell them that a road game is three periods AND 60 minutes long??? This Bruins team has had issues all season long with road losses and that magnifies in the playoffs when you're the lower seeded team and spend more time on the road. Going back to Boston down 2-0 would be catastrophic. Hopefully game 1 was merely adrenaline for the Sabres and they slow down for Game 2. The B's need to be embarrassed after this game…and no more "Yeah..no I'm happy with how we played and it was a good game" nonsense. I understand that the expectation at the beginning of the season was to miss the playoffs but you didn't. Now that you're here play like it matters for a full game. Get it together…lets go B's!!!

  2. peeke better not get another minute of ice time all of game 2. that lead taking goal was entirely on him

  3. A lot of holes on this team. They were all exposed in this game. It felt like the whole game played in Boston's end

  4. Boston is a good team, they have the payoff experience, that goalie played great. Buffalo forced Boston to play their game, especially in the third. Boston can NOT skate with the Sabres, they don't have the team speed. Boston likes to be physical, Buffalo was by far more physical. That's only the first game, it's a long series.

  5. lol, well that sucked but we knew it could happen as this D unit suuuuks – has pretty much suked all year – Peek – lets hope we dont see him in a spoked B next year – holy Choke Job Batman!

and a Rookie Coach doesn't help – but there will be better days ahead assuming Donnie sorts out this D unit

Is it me or what that Third line basically nonexistent? not sure they had any sustained Ozone pressure – more like chasing the Sabers all over the rink lol – oh well, good season anyway

  6. I would rather put Harris in for Peeke or H Lindholm . He is faster and can skate away from the heavy foreheck. There is no need to turn over the puck twice in that area of the ice up two goals. Sloppy defense by the Bruins.

  7. The only way the bruins win a game is if swayman gets a shutout, they played that old school defensive shutdown game until Buffalo figured it out and then it was over

  8. sorry to say it is over for the Bs – impossible mentally to come out of this as doubts creep in around the room, fragility mentally even the stars or captains , no direction just words of encouragement so yeah its over Bs

  9. Seeking blew that open net, and past has to score on breakaways. You have to score on big chances

  10. Lohrei three giveaways in crucial minutes in the 3rd. Less toe drag, more north/south vision and physicality needed.

  11. What game did u watch lol …..just like the bigger stronger blah blah blah . Sabrss dominated , Swayman was the only reason it wasnt 8-2

  12. For fans of the game – we got to watch 2 fine teams and experience the full on adrenaline of a crowded, one sided building. Both teams showed much resilience. Boston in that they were being outplayed but were up 2-0 and unphased in a very hostile environment while Buffalo didn't completely fold after Boston's second goal. Sturm is a bit cavalier in his comments (its true – its a long series – no need to over react yet) but I think the biggest surprise was the physicality (Buffalo had 53 hits?!?). Swayman was so so so sharp – Buffalo's first 2 goals were not pretty and they started from scrappy play (and some puck luck) behind the Boston goal. Enjoy this one for all its worth!
