  1. The wanting to trade Helly vibes from the fans is unbelievable to me. This is the same vibes Vancouver had with Luongo. Media and fans chased him out of town. The Canucks as an organization has been a dumpster fire ever since. Jets fans need try a different tact

  2. I never take what players say with any weight. They always spout platitudes and nonsense like, "Yeah, we are so disappointed" and "I love this group", blah blah blah. It's quite boring bullshit actually. Hellebucyk spoke honestly. It was refreshing to hear something other than the usual player bs that never says anything.

  3. I appreciate Lizz coment on the culture on this team. Besides Haly, how many of the Jets are as driven to win the Stanley cup. Many players are satisfied plying in the NHL, and enjoy the lifestyle, and that is good enough. My humble oppinion.
    Terry

  4. Players saying they were "Injured" its not like everyone is tough its an excuse and if say Iafallo was why wouldnt you sit out let a younger player play top 6

I'm happy media/people are finally starting understand because Hellebuyck this team is no where close. Guys primes have been wasted by Chevy/team.

When you look at teams near bottom we arnt far off from Calgary,Canucks(prior to collapse),NYR.
The Rangers still have Zabinejad,Miller,Fox,Trocheck,Shesterkin,Lafreneire good players same thing our media likes to say.
Even Canucks prior to giving up had Demko,Pettersson,Hughes,Garland,Debrusk,Boeser,Hronek ect.
Flames still have a good goalie,Backlund,Huberdeau,Kadri,Zary,Weegar,Frost ect

    Compare cores
    Shesterkin vs Hellebuyck
    Zabinejad vs Scheifele
    Fox vs Morrissey
    Miller vs Barron/Vlad/Toews
    Trocheck vs Lowry
    Lafreneire vs Villardi
    Perreault vs Perfetti
    Gavrikov vs Samberg
    Quick vs Comrie
    Panarin(traded) vs Connor
Cuyle vs ? We arnt as good as we think.

The idea MikeMcintyre/Hus/Toth and other media put forth we are far beyond those teams is wrong we are also Lowry like you mentioned not being same player,prospects/players not wanting come here or arnt ready, guys having down years to being in exact same position next year only difference is players will want out.

The same way alot of ex players have transitioned to GM/Assistant lile Spezza,Getzlaf,Cambell,Grier,Sakic,Yzerman,Brisbois,Brier ect The Jets should either move on from Chevy rn give Toews the Gm or wait 1 year similar Armstrong giving ropes to Steen and a clean slate have Toews Assistant GM/Spezza and Dubas and let Toews tear it down if after next year nothing changes.

It be nice change coaching staff get Ex jets eventually Ladd,Stuart back in organization.

If Toews doesn't want it a guy I like is MikeJohnson from TSN he was asked if he would want a GM he said he could see it but knows he wouldn't be considered Toronto job. I like the way he views game and handles ODog/McLennan at times(who can be like jets fans) see his point of view.

I think organization is closer to having conversation we need to retool/rebuild ask who wants to stay Lowry,Villardi,Perfetti,Jmo(last year of deal),Helly,Samberg ect
StLouis could be a mushy middle team they have a guy in Thomas,Parayko,Binnington,Kyrou, they had Schenn/Faulk but I think Armstrong trading off core handing over blank slate Steen so he's not judged off old moves is what Jets are close to doing.
It's not fair to say hire a new GM and have them trade all the core or old guys because fans will hate/not give a chance right from start Chevy made the mess you fix it/tear down before handling to next person.

  5. These 2 are great together. Lizz has some really good insights, and always asks amazing questions in scrums. Not the usual BS. Her point of "adulta in the room" @30:00 is my favorite point. Coaches and management's need to have the wide eyed view and make sound decisions on who is in and out. Playung injured to some degree is detrimental to the team, and this team handled that terribly. There are 1000 excuses – roster management, hurt feelings, players hiding injuries, etc. But they have to do better

  6. I truly feel if the pick doesn’t somehow move up into the top 3. You have to trade it for a 2C (assuming you’re able to). Shane wright? Mason Mactavash? Kent Johnson? I’ve heard all three of those players were unhappy at some point this year. Gotta see if either are available.
