Neighbors should be the next captain. I'd say Parayko, but I have a feeling he may be traded soon. I don't think Thomas should go beyond the A.

The Blues need to get rid of Kyrou and Buchnevich. Both over paid and undelivering. Kryou has incredible skating and puck handling skills. However, he always loses 90% of puck battles on the boards, plays 120 foot hockey, plays horrible defense. Misses easy shots around the goal, never checks, never fights for the puck, passes the puck just to get rid of it. You can tell Montgomery is on his case but. it looks like he's going through the motions. Playoff hockey he crumbles
Hindsight is 20/20, but man, knowing what we know now, I wish we would have kept Ellis and got rid of Binnington at the beginning of the season. Maybe we can work some magic to get Ellis back. Maybe Love will be ready after next season. So many questions and “what ifs.”
As a kyrou fan, sadly I want to see him gone. And buch. To much spent for not enough product.
Keep Thomas at all costs
It kills me that the Blues have Neighbours-Buchnevich-Kyrou and are still looking for depth scoring.
Look this team is not good enough. Dont just look at their record since the break. They still go entire periods with less than 5 shots on goal. But the Blues have an opportunity with the draft capital, the trade capital, the excess middle 6 forwards, and their ridiculous cap space (after trading buch and kyrou) to make a generational shift NOW.
At this point, a 2nd round pick for Buchy would be awesome. He's had already peaked when Armstrong gifted him that unjustifiable contract.
You’re right, its not time to go get one big time player. Its time to go get THREE. Laine, jenner and anderrson. Dump kyrou and bouch, even if you have to eat some salary. Yall do know the cap is going up, right?
You guys should get The Hockey Guy on a podcast over the summer to talk the Blues.
When Thomas was hurt the team did not function well. When he came back and was healthy the team took off. Of course there were other factors but he is the leader IMO of this team that is looking so much better. Lets give him the C and bring on the young talent and lets go get another Cup in the future!! PS-All the best to Binner and Sunny if they're no longer going to be on the ice with the team. If I could I would find a spot in this organization for Sunny mentoring younger players. No better representative of the Blue Note in so many ways!! Lets Go Blues!!!
