Yzerman needs 1-2 more years imo.
I feel like the shortest answer is just under performing. Not scoring early, low production from the bottom six, inconsistent goaltending, and toward the end of the season, losing to NYR, Florida, Philadelphia, NJ, Ottawa, falling apart, incomplete games against good teams. Leadership is sorely needed. But of course "potential" just means "haven't done sh*t yet".
As a wings fan I am really tired of this drought this team can not handel pressure especially when march hit. Major changes need to happen this offseason enough is enough
The Red Wings had had, back in January ( 1:36 ), slightly under 9-to-1 odds against seeing their playoff appearance drought extend to this season. Fast forward to April, and they are out of qualifying for this postseason.
Team has talent there is no question about that but they just seem to crumble when it matters the most. Great season until Olympics and then its a complete nosedive.
detoilet dead wings annual choke job
I don't know Johnny another Fade i just look forward to watching the playoffs on CBC. And live streams from the Best Hockey Community, HTH. As a Senior Citizen, I'm glad to see spring, regardless
overrated prospect pool no real difference makers just a bunch of 3rd-4th line guys
Rasmussen and Compher need to go along with the dead weight D men signed only to be put in the AHL. Pathetic effort after the Olympic break. I'm also sick of the whole Michigan thing. They're not getting it done. Bring in people who can play the game you want them to play and stop caring where the hell they're from. How many Michigan Boys were on any of the cup teams? 0
Ten years gone,…
Thomas wont be moved. If he is than it needs to be for a hall.
Detroit has no future at all they won't be going anywhere anytime soon
Red wing players are overpaid bums… they should give some of that money they "earned" back to the fans who paid to go watch them….. I haven't been to a game in years but feel sorry for those who spend money on these bums.
They have a good prospect pool, but there's not a top offensive that, let alone elite, among them.
Love the content, BUT, the Blues aren't trading Robert Thomas to the Red Wings or anyone else–he'll be the next Captain of the Blues as the young veteran in his prime leading Snuggerud, Holloway, Dvorsky,Stenberg, Neighbours, Broberg and the rest of the young talent into the future–they are going to be very good very soon, especially with Hofer coming into his own as the starter in goal.
You have to be able to give up assets to get good assets. Yzerman is not doing that and doesn't want to, they need to move on from Yzerman.
By “elite” do you mean when there wasn’t a salary cap and they could buy Cups?? Not too impressive.
Dallas is salivating at the idea of getting ASP and MBN. They would be loaded for another 10 years.
What's wrong with just being patient and letting these kids develop?
Loosing a Must wins to the Rangers and Philly those were the Most painful to watch and cannot be allowed, It's not the curse of march that hurts the most, Is not trampling the middle of the road teams. When the rough to the playoffs rough are going. A "talented roster ready player isn't enough. We need a forward with a mean streak an instigator who can also back up with play making, When the fancy stuffs not working, You're going to have to be able to run it town their throats, that's a contagious attitude and you need the guy that doesn't give a F and will commit to a roll in the mud if that's the way they want it. Every great crüe has one stir up the shit I'm Not gonna loose and Not Take a beating Guy, that You're obligated to wade in there with of feel ashamed of themselves He say's things like, "Is that All you Got?" or "Hey Look at those F's over there" "Whadd-U mean What? Yeah You Hurd Me Do somethin' then" a courage booster, You know who that is when your at a bad scene and buddy says under their breath "I think you better call ______"
blues not dealing thomas for a bag of pucks if they do
Sitting Cosa in Gr all year was pointless
To be fair most of these trades I understand but most of them are just outright ridiculous Cossa, Trey, Bear, and ASP is not getting traded, Kasper, Danielson, and MBN maybe if the right deal comes along. Talbot is gone and Gibson cant be in net every single night and shouldn't be. Their pro scouting has been terrible, coaching has been soft, the roster very top-heavy, and the owner being a cheapskate is not helping either.
rob thomas aint the guy. hes the tristan jarry move. and who goes, raymond?
I’m looking forward to the off season for the blues I felt like they really showed up after the Olympics and they have 3 first rounders and a heavily talented prospect pool heck maybe they will spend a little money in free agency
What a take Robertson partner is form Ontario so Michigan is close enough hahah
