The titles every day 😂😂😂😂😂
😎👍🏒🏒
Nick is a consumate pro, he is a model of consistency not just on the ice, but as importantly, off the ice. A complete character person/player who exemplifies & represents what the organization is on the world hockey stage…
Demidov

Talking about my own personal experience. I was born in 1976 so I don't remember the glorious Lafleur years. My first habs memories are Rick Wamsley, Richard Sevigny, Pierre Mondou….. I have seen Mats Naslund in 1986 being one hell of an exiting player. I have seen Richer score 5 goals in the last 2 match of the season to reach 50. Seen the 89 season where the team seemed basically unbeatable and being a defensive litteral wall. Seen the 93 cup winning team with the incredible overtime winning streak. Then the dark years under Houle, Gainey and Pierre Gauthier which had some mild flashes of fun and a very emotion filled closure of the old Forum and the return of Koivu. So I have see lots of itteration of the club. But never have I see a spectacular and entertaining version like this year. It brought back something in me this year. It seems all the goals results from a great play, there is barely any garbage goal (unlike 1986, 1989 and 1993 great teams). And before they arrived, I have never been so enthusiast about rookies like Suzuki, Caufield, Hutson and Demidov. Subban and Koivu peaked my interest but not as much. (I mean there was no exctiment about Jose Charbonneu, Gilles Thibaudeau, Lindsay Vallis or Matt Higgins among others) No this year seems special. I think they are slowly (but not that much) building a juggernaut.
TJ HUGHES is a Habs fan. I wouldn’t be surprised if Montreal signes both of them (Hughes + Hage) give me a shoutout WHEN not “IF” it happens
Hey Jesse POIRIER
It’s Charles from Ottawa
I was just informed that the leafs can’t hit the broad side of most barns and man do you ever know your HABS cousin !!
Blanc Bleu rouge will hoist the cup forever
Exactly Jesse, the floodgates are back open for Cole.
This team reminds me of the same energy and excitement from 70s edition.
They would all give up the individual awards for a Stanley
Ready to do damage in the playoffs!
Michigan getting bounced in the Frozen Four semifinal could have Hage being here in time for the playoffs. 😊😊😊
#🚀🏆🏡
Jesse , it is ok to kick the Leafs when they are down. You can go easy on the Canucks, Flames and Jets.
Hage will be traded this summer for an experience 2 c … that I am sure of. Habs are almost ready to be a contender so with Hage, it will take another 3 year before he will get to his peak. Montreal will not want to wait that long.
Comparing "team wins" as a metric is a little silly in a league where some teams have NINETEEN loser points from OTL. Only 4 of 32 teams will definitely finish below .500, totally different situation from most of the league's history.
We can allways count on Caufield Hutson and Suzuki to score or build the path way to a goal. Go Habs Go!💋💋💋❤️❤️❤️💯💯🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
💯🏒🥅
You have to calm down a little and put things in perspectives: some of the best Habs teams played in hockey eras when the teams played much less games. I am all for enthusiasm, I am on board for this incredible rebuild still in process, I am excited beyond measures on how well we are doing this year, but one has to be honest when comparing this team with other has teams in an historical context.
If they would of gotten those 3 sandpaper players buffalo got they would of won the cup… and everybody knows it's that they need sandpaper players except for Hughes and Gordon … out first round again
Drive for 25!!! Let’s go blue blanc rouge!!!
I learned today that you can have a Trifecta in hockey (a 100 points center, a 50 goal scorer and an 80 points d-man) and when a team has those they either have won the stanley cup have reach the stanley cup finals couple of times (thx to Radio canada sport)
If we talk about the Habs, I have 2; Slafzilla and Dobby. These are 2 players were heavily criticized at the start of their careers. Fans and Media alike wanted Shane Wright, said Slaf's production was not 1st overall worthy, labelled second half Slaf and look now; a bonafide Power Forward soon to be a 40g 40a player year after year
Dobes considered emotionally unstable, with a bad style; hearing left and right that the goalie of the future in Montreal is Fowler and he is only to play second string in the long run…. Who is talking about Fowler now (no disrespect to him he will have a good career)
yeah i'm rooting big time for these two players
I've been saying since Micheal Hage went down in the Conference championship 2 weeks ago his season is over. I give him a ton of heart to actually dress and try to play thru what I believe is either a high ankle sprain or a torn up knee. He did not look like the normal Hage beast out there last night. I actually felt sorry for him. Completely staying away from traffic and contact all thru each shift of only 30 seconds. It safe to say the Canadiens or Laval will shut him down once they have a look what is injured. Sad for the fanbase short term but special times ahead for the new future that starts next October!!!
Bring up Florian for the playoffs 4th line.Evans and Anderson
Suzuki jersey, unfortunately not yet signed, hangs aside the television all season, he is the heart of this team, and I have watched this team since 1960. That fire 🔥 wagon style finally has returned under his leadership. Best Captain in the league, in my mind. A model for young people to take a mental of. His performance & personality dictates how the team proves positive & purposeful. 🤔
Relax Habs fans! We are still in the process of building this team so keep your pants on! Two more years and we will be a serious contender, and will remain so for many years!
I'm not sure that the number of wins stats translates so easily because there are more games in today's NHL than any of the past years in your list. Moreover, it is still to be shown that this team is a playoff performer. I think there is a good chance they are, but we shall see, and I am going to enjoy finding out because, if we don't get a Cup then we will know more about what is lacking and can work on correcting the problem(s)…My fav players are Demidov & Hutson (because they are so talented yet humble enough to know they must work hard to improve, so they won't waste their talent, plus they are adorable) and Slaf (not just because of the way he plays but his personality is fun)… PS Hage has an ankle injury of some sort, so not sure what will happen in near future.
Hage is a good trade chip at best, nothing more
Had no 3 on 3 hockey back in the day or shootouts, so wins now are over blown. Back then it would be a tie almost all the time with 6 on 6 or not ot at all in 70;s.
Suzuki is you young kids' Bob Gainey. There was no one like Gainey…until Nick.
"Flashier" is exactly right. Suzuki stays quiet and hyper-vigilant…he's in the right place at the right time, always.
92-93, when Joshy wasnt even a wish in an oven😂❤
Nobody's forgetting Suzuki . Could you imagine if we didn't trade Max pacioretty for prospect Nick Suzuki?? This trade alone got us to where we are. The guy is the heart and soul of the team. Quiet, forgiving leadership. Leads by example and makes believers of his team. How many times has the team been down in the last minutes of the game and he gets a point to tie it up??? The Captain is Clutch. It all starts with Captain Suzuki. We are so luck to have him since we never even drafted him. Then we drafted an amazing team around him. The future is bright 🌞
Unfortunately Sam Montembeault cost us a lot of games. We would have at lease 10 more points minimum. Im not saying all the lost games was his fault. They used him for a lot of games and he would let in so many soft shots.
If the Habs are to go deep in the playoff, they'd need Hage in the lineup because of his youthfulness, skill and physicality. The rest of the team are a little worn out after a long season.
Tough to compare this year to the years before OT and the S/O. If you subtract those we would be around 90 points…which is a very solid season.
How did the Habs play 84 games in one season in 92-93?
