  1. Loved the win, but now to beat tampa in the playoffs they need to win 6 of the last 9 games… from that perspective its a tough situation even tho we are already up 2-0..

  2. Mtl have no chance at all to win against Tampa Bay in playoff. LIKE ZEROOOOOOOO. I will bet 1 000$ on that if i can bouble up.

  3. When they will realize, they dont need Guhle, Carrier, Dach, Newhook we might move on and improve the team.

  4. Game of the year, love the coverage every day, no need to give dumb comments any air time fyi, the show is great and proably greater without it 🙂

  5. Finally Marco nails it. Balance of toughness and skill. If Arber was unleashed, he would end that Perry was getting on with. He TKOed their tough guy last game, and he wasn’t even in the line up last night. Anderson went after Kucherov after they started to target our star players. It was perfect. You take Anderson, Struble Xhekaj out of the lineup it will be a short playoff.Good thing Marco is on here, Starr brings nothing to the table.

  6. Yes l did enjoy Cooper fist bumping when his team scored. I guess he won’t be underestimating the Habs compete level anymore and save his celebration until the end of the game. Marty had a smile after CC 50th but didn’t lose focus on the task of completing the game.

  7. To win the cup, you need to beat everyone else, irrespective of what round. Both Robinson and Dryden have said the sole focus of the Montreal '70s dynasty was the cup final, full stop.

That is the attitude this team needs to develop.

Again incroyable.

  9. Don’t always share the same opinion Marco, but 45:45 u r so spot on and if anyone says other wise then I apologize for what u have to go thru.

  10. Sorry, Marco, I have to disagree. MSL has been playing better and better, against the best teams in the league. It's OTHER teams who should be worried about playing Montreal, not the other way around. Like you said, you're not a fan, so you're not a true believer. The only team that's going to hang with the Habs in the East are the Sabres, and MAYBE Philly. Everyone else should want to avoid the Canadiens

  11. The Hockey Gods will always curse Corey Perry as he never learned from the Ryan Ellis hit from the 2020 Winter Classic.

  12. Never would I say Marco comes off as arrogant or whatever he is 100% correct they are not a cup contenting team and have issues with physical teams, defensive teams and game to game endurance stretches in those games. They are not there yet and there's pieces still to come and maturing/experience with what they have now.
Edit…so Marco proceeds to get to bottom 6 depth etc ….I wrote the comment before he reached that, too funny. Exactly what I was thinking. I can't think of one single thing that I disagreed with in Marco's evaluations, ever. So many times I've got home from work and what I say to guys at work about the Habs at breaks, put on the Starr and D'Amico show while I have supper and there's Marco like he read my mind. Except with more detail and depth, I'm not saying my hockey smarts are his level. LOL

  13. Arber played his best game last night…big hits without going out of his way, played simple and tough in front of the net.

  14. The best hockey game I watched in many many years i was on the edge of my seat.Until MTL began playing a bit safe they played every shift like their lives depended on it.
The only problem is that MTL played their very best game ever in years and yet it was only 1-0 and Tampa had chances to tie it up and take the lead.
We should put it into perspective when talking about Anderson that was a game catered to him he won't get many games like that to shine.
MTL/MSL need to work on that PP it is so predictable and imo just bad from the way Cole and Nick line up in the corner and when they do decide to play it smart and shoot it in the D do not pinch up high enough to keep the pressure on.
MTL's shooting is below avg but so is every team just imagine if MTL learned how to score they would walk through every team.Even our legendary Caufield shot poorly until he scored that goal but Vaisleskiy gave him that goal he played the angle terribly.
No matter imn the end it was a great game and MTL won.

  15. @marcodamico as to you commenting on the “marco get off your phone!!!” Comment, some people literally have nothing better to do than try to piss people off all day, if they didnt know that if youre on your phone during this its work/habs related, or even about your kid, they have to be new to the podcast

  16. BTW ..Slafkovsky was to blame for that tying goal but he also did the smart thing getting in front of the net to score the winner so he gets a pass for atoning his horrible defensive ability.Oh and before that shift Slaf was in the offensive end and instead of SKATING he tried to just do the lazy thing and reach with his stick and that is how penalties get called you put your stick in there the player falls your called for tripping.Until I saw that one lazy effort by Slaf the ENTIRE team was 100% in my good books a legendary effort.

  17. Did anyone even watch the Michigan game last night? Hage in reality should not of even been playing. He clearly is injured. He hardly skated with the puck. He didnt try to deke or drive around anyone the entire game. He stayed clear of the corners or any traffic on the ice. I put him at best 50%to75% healthy. Most of his shifts were about 30 seconds. Something clearly was making him very tenative out there and no where close to the dominate player style he usually plays. Lets just see if he signs and be happy for next September. This playing for Laval or Habs before season end to me is nonsense and a fanbase bordering on insanity…
