  1. I said it before and I'll say it again. No one and i mean NO ONE… talk bad about MY COACH ever again… don't make me angry… try me bub

  2. We need a brand new defense next season. Proud of what we accomplished this year, playoffs next year for sure.

  3. Second straight pathetic effort. No hustle. No fight. You could tell the players have given up knowing their playoff chances are close to 0%. The Three Crapketeers (Leddy, Klingberg, Orlov) know they're likely gone so they have stopped trying, not that they were any good to begin with. It doesn't help that we have a coach that looks lost half the time. Where was the TO after the terrible start to the 1st or 2nd period? If you're not going to try to win, don't play at all.

  4. I played competitive hockey for about 15 years, including with the Jr. Sharks, so just sharing my perspective. Effort obviously needs to be better, but I also don’t think Warso should be shuffling the lines as much as he does. I understand trying to find a spark, but constant changes make it hard for guys to build chemistry or learn each other’s tendencies. It ends up making the team look more out of sync than it really is.

Another big issue is skating. We have skilled players, but not enough speed, and it shows every night. The NHL exposes that quickly. Players like Will and a few others really need to focus on skating this offseason because pace is a huge reason we struggle to forecheck, get pucks deep, and generate shots.

There also needs to be more accountability. Too many guys look hesitant to be first into corners or win 50/50 battles. Outside of Sherwood, not enough players consistently attack loose pucks, and that is frustrating to see at the NHL level.

Personally, I think moving some older pieces like Toffoli and veterans like Leddy for younger, faster talent would help. Drew Remenda has talked about shot volume and he is right. Teams under McLellan and DeBoer lived off getting pucks on net. If goalies stop around 90%, or .900 on average, which is probably a high average, then getting 30 shots a night should lead to about 3 goals. Right now we just lack pace and urgency, but as I listed out, there are many things to improve upon.

  5. This team got outworked by grown men all season. They need to get stronger, bigger, tougher, and meaner. They will, but that's just the reality of the situation.

  6. Need a coaching change and let Orlov and other mediocre D-men go in the off season. REALLY need to work on completing passes.
