This video is all about the incredible season that the Pittsburgh Penguins have had so far. Not many people expected this team to be anywhere near the playoffs and they are now looking like a real threat in the Eastern Conference and are currently 2nd in the league in goals for. Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and Erik Karlsson have been great, but this team has brought in key players like Anthony Mantha, Yegor Chinakov, Justin Brazeau, Ben Kindel, and many others that have made them one of the deepest teams in the Sidney Crosby era. First year head coach Dan Muse and general manager Kyle Dubas also have their fingerprints all over the success of this team.

As a Pittsburgh native I'm convinced this team will go all the way. I just hope they don't have a home playoff game during the NFL draft.
I believe mike sullivan wasa holding back Karlson, plus, I believe Pens 4th line was getting a lot millage out of them. they been decently solid on Defense wise and have some scoring potential
I think the Penguins are one of the best teams out there at the right time.
Crosby 21 straight seasons with a point per game.
Malkin getting a hat trick and 14 seasons with pointer per game.
Rakel is scoring at will right now.
Mantha is doing great having his breakaways and rebound goals.
Karlsson is responsible for lots of breakout plays generating offense and he still has the speed to get back to on defense.

The Pens are for real. They are peaking at the right time.

They look great against pretty much every team other than the Canes. Still close games in the regular season but they just can’t seem to punch those Ws. Hope they don’t have to go through them. Other than that, feeling really good about playoffs!
Dubas has absolutely cooked
Miraculously dumping Tristan Jarry and his contract and getting Skinner has been MASSIVE for the Pens too. It took the pressure off the team as it never felt like we could fully trust Jarry when everything else failed.
And it actually took a lot of pressure off Skinner too where a lot of people felt he was the problem in Edmonton and their cup hopes. It feels like he’s in a more collaborative situation with us and he plays more relaxed. Skinner hasn’t been perfect by any means, but he doesn’t lose us games either.
Kinda what they do. Win a cup, underperform for 7 years, get good again

Chinakhov was under-appreciated on the CBJ. They’re my second team since they signed Reeser and I liked a lot of what they were doing… but also blackouts for the Pens. Chinakhov was doing all kinds of things, just not getting the credit. They didn’t even give him a decent welcome back I guess.
Just imagine the absolute fucking implosion Leafs fans will experience if Dubas wins a cup in the Burgh 😂😂😂

They haven't made the playoffs yet. Don't jinx it saying such things. The Pens can blow it like almost no one else This is the same team who just had to beat one of the two worst teams to make the playoffs a few years ago and lost both games to the Hawks and Jackets.
All those overtime/shootout losses disturb me. If the Pens had won just half of those games they would have 8 more points and be in the divisional race.
