Bruins MUST Re-Sign Viktor Arvidsson… Here’s Why

Viktor Ardvisson has arguably been one of the best Bruins forwards this season, but if you asked me at the beginning of the year, I wouldn’t have thought he would still be on the roster right now. He is one-third of the Boston Bruins’ best line and doesn’t have a contract with the Bruins past this season.

In this video, I’m going to explain why I think the Bruins shouldn’t waste any time and should be giving Victor Ardvisson a contract extension. I will discuss what I think will be a good length and dollar amount, and break down just how well he has played this season.

  1. I agree. I was very worried he might be traded at the deadline but I’m glad they held on to him and I really hope they can make it work. The question is, bow determined is he to cash in on the open market for what is likely his final contract?

  2. Whatever the roster ends up looking like next year. This has been a fun season overall.

  3. I agree with you. But i feel there are teams like Chicago, Buffalo, or San Jose who might be willing to give him more term to have the veteran presence.

  4. There is no guarantee they will make the playoffs next year. Florida and Toronto will probably be back.
They have a chance now. Call up Hagens.
The team needs a shot in the arm. The last three games have been brutal. 3 goals scored.
He can only make them better.

  5. would love to have Arvidsson back, but only at the right term. Sidenote: I am not a big fan of Sean Kuraly, I think he has been killing the 4th line lately, even though his pk game is excellent. Just seems kind of invisible out there, your thoughts?

  6. He's been a shot in the arm they've needed. He should be a candidate for the 7th player award. Sign him and move on to the next player who needs to be addressed.

  7. As long as its not a over priced or super long term contract. And we get the young guys in AHL a shot and Chance to prove themselves I should be good to give him a contract.
