There is no protection on that Florida Panthers 1st round pick, anyone can look into to see for themselves, it's Chicago's even if it ends up being 1st overall.
Chicago would love for that pick to become 1st overall because it's theirs.
I'm not sure why people can't look it up and see for themselves that it's unprotected, it's not that hard to do.
The only condition on Florida's 1st round pick is, "if Florida does not have their 1st round pick in 2026, it goes to a 1st round pick in 2027.
There is no, top 5 or top 10 protection ect, on that pick.
