7 Minute Wings: Out of Gas? ⛽ Red Wings Hanging On | Griffins ROLL

The clock is ticking… and the Detroit Red Wings look like they’re running out of gas.
Despite a tough loss, Detroit remains tied for the final wild card spot after both Columbus and Ottawa also fall. But with time running out, the reality is setting in — this team looks exhausted, and one more loss could seal their fate.
It’s now truly do-or-die.
Meanwhile, it’s a completely different story in Grand Rapids.
The Griffins continue their dominant run, now just 1 point away from the top spot in the entire AHL with 5 games remaining. The momentum is real, and the future continues to shine bright:
🚨 Eddie Genborg – 1st AHL Goal
🚨 Anton Johansson – 1st AHL Goal
Add in another high-scoring performance, and this team looks like a serious contender heading into the postseason.
Two teams. Two directions. One organization at a crossroads.
🎥 7 Minute Wings — Fast updates. Real talk. No fluff.

  1. its pretty clear at this point that the scripted model of other professional sports has made its way to the n.h.l. isnt it convenient that when the games matter most and teams should be fighting for playoff positioning we have teams like NY islanders and Columbus blue jackets completely tanking when both teams should have been virtual playoff locks at this point and the last playoff spot decided aleady. isnt it "convenient" for the 3rd year in a row now we have something like 6 or 7 teams virtually tied for the last playoff spot and Philadelphia and Washington who were both selling at the deadline have suddenly reentered the playoff picture?? dont be surprised to see Boston go on a losing streak to make this "playoff race" interesting to that many more fan bases who will "tune in" all the way to the end. these types of standings and the jockeying and long losing and winning streaks of teams at the end of the season was NEVER the way of things. this has only been seen in recent years and its not a "natural" occurance.

  2. Our zone entries are terrible. Same ole dump and chase. Watch Pittsburgh against us, they skate it into the blue line and then hold the puck then send a pass to center where players are rushing in. Never seen us attempt that in the past decade.
