  1. Miller sounds horrible. Vancouver wants guys like EP who shows up at all the community glory holes and actually touches the community.

  2. For all his faults, I've never considered his community involvement and being there for his fans among them. He's got a big heart, plays big, and will stop to pose for a selfie with a fan on the street if they ask him politely.

We know all too well his faults. he doesn't play defense most of the time, he's also got a temper as big as his heart, and is abrasive personality can rub people the wrong way, making him difficult to be with for long hours. But still, I won't fault his willingness to give and he genuinely seems to care.

Hughes by contrast, seems easy to get along with from all accounts, but he also seems selfish and doesn't care about community, his fellow players, or much of anything that doesn't personally benefit him. Interesting contrast between 2 ex Canucks who departed on not too good of terms.

  3. I would like to read Trevor Linden's autobiography. I think he might have some interesting things to say about Messier's time on the Canucks.
