What Would The Sabres Need To Give Up For Robert Thomas| Schopp and Bulldog

Bulldog continues the conversation behind the rumors of Robert Thomas being a real idea for the Sabres before the deadline. Bulldog shares why he would love a trade like this for the Sabres and why it’s time to go all in now! Bulldog also takes a look at what the potential package the Sabres would have to put together for a player like Robert Thomas. Bulldog explains why he doesn’t want to give up anyone from the top 4 blue line and hopes it’s just for future firsts or some of the young guys we won’t see for a few years.

  1. As much as I’d hate to part with Helenius, I’d be willing to trade him, Quinn and I’d see if they would want Colton Ellis back.

I believe they were really high on Ellis and not happy he was picked up, so the my really want him back with the way their goaltending’s been.

Side note, I’d rather see Isak Rosen go over Helenius. He may be closer to NHL ready which the Blues may want, and the Sabres really don’t seem to want to give this kid a REAL chance anyways.

  2. Trade Power for a bag of pucks. He ain’t worth 8.3m. Keeping him means losing Tuch and possibly losing a Thomas trade. For a 4m dollar defenseman I could get better defense. No hitting and boneheaded plays is what you get now. I see it every game and go “oh yea 25 just passed it in the middle and Lyon/UPL had to bail us out…”

  3. If we had an All-Star game this year instead of the Olympics and with the year the Sabres are having; who do you think would have been picked?

  4. Shows so much better without schoop, when bulldogs at the helm it’s a much more fun atmosphere and no cockiness or anything

  5. PA resident, Bills STH, I generally like to catch you guys on Youtube, but we do get WGR550 here in Erie. Had a great time at Key Bank a few weeks ago. Hadn't been up for a Sabres game in a while. Great atmosphere. Right now, I'm enjoying this one game at a time and riding the wave. Honestly, send the house to St. Louis and make it happen. Picks and Prospects, though. Not established players.

  6. I think a realistic trade is Mrtka Helenius and Quinn. Or a trade without that is Helenius, Ellis, Quinn, a first and Kleber but tbh that’s just throwing a bunch of stuff at them

  7. They better be careful wrong move will set them backwards for another fourteen years. Why do the Blues want to trade Thomas?
