The Montreal Canadiens continue to get great news as they’ve shot up power rankings, are top 10 in prospect pool rankings, and some Dobes stats just make his performance even more ridiculous. Josh Gosse and Jesse Poirier chat about all of it on this episode of Habs Digest.

Zharovsky is not as dominant in the playoffs. Hage is/was injured. I must be seeing things a little differently from you guys. Love both players though.
The Habs train is coming down the tracks, and anyone who knows hockey can see this unstoppable locomotive .
I don't like seeing fowler sitting
Its funny while everyone is looking at how Montreal has done the perfect rebuild thus far. It seems like the players Montreal has drafted so far . Are all Nhl Stars. And when they get inserted under Montreals hood they all become upgradeds on the super charged engine . That is going too leave all other teams in the nhl eat their dust. Dynasty Gary Bettman . Cannot stop this Train wreak that is a coming. ❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
Hi Josh/Jesse. I am going to my first game of the year on the 11th against Columbus. I realize the playoffs may be settled by then for the most part with Columbus likely on the outside looking in but I can’t wait. I am flying from the Rock and my son from Kitchener. I would love to run into one or both of you at the game. Cheers
Doby!!!!!!! We have the team, if not this year, the next one or the other one after. We're gonna dominate the NHL within 3 years
Hage is garbage
Zharivsky is trash also just all nonsense it will stop very soon
What I like too is the habs have actually been one of the more consistent teams all season. We’ve held a playoff spot essentially all season and have not had a significant loss streak. Also can think of several games we got robbed of a win, particularly that Edmonton game early in the season comes to mind. And I can’t really recall being blown out. The boys have been competitive every night.
3 years away from the Cup. Like it or not.
Cauf hatty coming in against NYR
After the break, I kept asking when is Doby going to be the first star? What more does he have to do to get there when he is giving his team a chance, holding the other team to 1-2 goals, night in and night out? They kept giving it to the GWG scorer. I was so glad he got it at least once, then two more times and then (beyond what I imagined) NHL star of the week! He deserves it! And when he comes out and gos, "Ca va?" Melted me! 😀 The should make me the star awarder person.
How does the goals above expected get calculated
Dobeast has awaken!
Top 6 going top 4 in the nhl , Habs knocking at the door already as playoffs contenders 🎉😊
Am I the only who has realised we are the next/new Oklahoma State of the nhl
Every year is different, next year the Habs can have big injuries and the season is scrapped, like Florida, they can be the top dogs next year… That's why you need to make moves every year when you have a chance to go to the Finals, and the Habs can easily do that, but can also easily lose in the first round, it's wide open this year.
The impact Hutson has had on this team cannot be overstated. However, it should also be acknowledged that Noah Dobson is on his way to a 50 point season. When the Habs acquired him, it was repeatedly noted that Noah had an "off season" following his 2023-24 70 point season. But what the naysayers failed to mention was that Mathew Barzal had 80 points in 80 games in Dobson's 70 point season, and only had 20 points in 30 games in Dobson's 39 point 2024-25 season. Noah's offensive numbers are excellent–especially so, since he gets vey limited power play time–and he leads the NHL in blocked shots! Quietly making a huge contribution to the Habs' improved fortunes.
If MSL and the direction make up there minds and have Arber play forward in the last games of the season and then in the playoffs, we are going to be scary even for teams like the Capitals and Wilson! We would have the skill and also the weight and streight to face these knock the Habs light stars all over the rink. If this happens, we could go far in this playoffs this year.
Habs can make the finals and possibly win the cup this year. I don't feel like there's a team on the east they can't beat in 7, and even if you do end up in a finals vs Colorado it's possible they're more banged up.
For once we have the clutch players that if it were to happen it wouldn't be a fluke it would just be our 1st of potentially many cups with this core.
This locker room is legitimate.
Dobes is getting close to a less than 2 gaa and that is what is needed to win a Stanley Cup.
Where are all the people who wanted us to trade for bobrovsky or Binnington?
Tchoo tchoo !!!! (Btw can we change the goal song for a train sound when they play the leafs ??
@habsDigest Don't forget Jakub Dobes is the first montreal Canadien since Plekanec in 2014 to be named first start of the week in the NHL. That is saying something
